About 1 minute into the ride you pass a tree - notice the possum hanging from the tree on the left side.

Eh, I may seem like a fun nazi, but before I do things like this, I always think to myself, "what would things be like if everyone did this?" Chances are that you're single whap doesn't make much of a difference, but I can only imagine that behavior like this long term necessitates more frequent refurbishments or paintings (etc) of the possum.

Those possums use to rotate automatically as the trains went by, but because people kept hitting them and breaking this feature maint decided to stop repairing it. It my be fun to you but you should always thing of the long term consequences of your actions.

No only the small ones move and the large and farthest to the left is the hittable one. It is made out of a soft Nerf like material.

Yeah but notice in the picture above that the small ones aren't even there. It's because people damage them also. And when you hit the big one going by at speeds of 20mph you are damaging it also. I've been a long time reader of these forums and usually don't comment. I'm a former BTM CM and this is a soft spot for me. You are ruining the AA when you reach out a decide it is fun to hit them. Plain and simple.

So does this mean it is ok to ignore the spiel in the load station? It clearly states Remain seated and keep your hands and arms inside the train at all times, Now then hang on to them hats and glasses cuz this here's..... well you all know the rest.

Im all for raising you hands up, but to stand up and try to hit the props/AA in the ride is a completly different story.

I just dont think it the best example to be setting for the kids who might just be starting to get there taste or feel for coasters.

Sorry but this is just my two cents on the issue

Thank you for the insight into the negatives. Clearly, besides being a poor example, and execuiting poor manners. It also, in at least some small way, changes the experience of the attraction in a way that was never intended.

Evidently somebody wanted to be "smackin' possum" at home. There used to be more than one 'possum hanging from the tree.

I can do it while remaining completely seated with my arms up (I have extremely long arms), therefore I'm following the spiel.

As far as it being an AA, it once was but now it is just a rubber possum...Its hard to believe they don't expect people to smack it anymore.
