I was thinking about that too.
You know I'm starting to think that after the success of Susan Boyle, I think X Factor could be as big as AI once it comes to the USA.
Boyle was on Britain's Got Talent.

Man I've been getting my facts wrong lately on here.
What's the difference between X Factor and American Idol then?
From the clips that I've seen very little. There is an element of judges mentoring certain artists and the judges seem to have the final say on who stays and goes home, but again this is just going off of You Tube clips that I've seen. Obviously I've never seen an entire show.
Umm... You do realize Disney can change the prize? :lookaroun
Idol is running in some variation in 42 different countries, Simon Cowell isn't a judge in the vast majority and they are still successful. Surprising as it may be, others have filled the role of caustic-wit judge and American Idol will likely [and probably quite easily] find an adequate replacement.
Yes, but it's hard to top the oppurtuntiy of getting the front of line pass if you're an actual aspiriring singer. Plus, we all know TDO can be cheap...
Last time I had a Disney CM offer me a free churro for beating his score on BLAB, he just gave us more FPs (that we already had enough of). And thus the Great American Churro (Or FastPass) Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster Challenge was born. The new prize is a free churro!
Prediction: Universe of Energy's Ellen animatronic will be moved to the American Idol Experience... She'll make a guest appearance at each show and will give guests tips on how to sing "better."
Prediction: The American Idol Experience will close in three to four years...
what makes Ellen an expert? I mean she knows comedy (And thanks to Bill Nye...energy) but singing?
Because Disney used to build timeless, classic attractions. TSM will be around for generations. AIE will close shortly after the show loses popularity. The same thing happened with who wants to be a millionaire. They need to stop spending money on pop culture attractions and leave that to the competition.I haven't seen AIE. But I imagine that I would like it. I like seeing people perform and compete. People I know have gone and really enjoyed it. Why does that make some people really angry? I really don't understand the incredible debate here on AIEs "worthiness". If you don't like it then don't go.

Around 40 countries run versions of Idol without Simon Cowell... Quite successfully.
What makes Americans so myopic?
:ROFLOL:Because we are the GREATEST NATION ON EARTH!!!
All others only aspire to be us. They also have contributed nothing to the world.
We are the center of the universe because God (the Republican version approved by Rush Limbo) so ordained.
