Just read that Siemens is ending its park sponsorship. If there was ever a time for Disney to think about reimagining the marquee Epcot icon, I guess this would be the time.
I honestly don't think the ride itself will change like that, I honestly think we'll see maybe some scene changes, maybe a new narrator.I just hope the attraction keeps its theme and narration, and isn't eventually abandoned for some cutting-edge thrill ride. With all the rumblings about Epcot's imminent overhaul, I worry about the fate of the attraction under current management.
Even with the currently-lackluster finale, Spaceship Earth is one of the greatest attractions ever conceived, and deserves to be preserved.
Neither do I, but the ride is one of the park's last remaining long format immersive dark rides, and I worry that the logical decisions won't be made, given past attraction closures.I honestly don't think the ride itself will change like that, I honestly think we'll see maybe some scene changes, maybe a new narrator.
@marni1971 ?I thought Martin said they already renewed?
I hear BJ's wholesale club will be picking up the sponsorship so we should be good.But...but what will we snicker at during Illuminations?
