Should WDW get a tatoo shop put in???

I'd be all for it, but then you'd have those damn kids who would be afraid of the needles and blood, and would be screaming while their parents had them tattooed. Nobody wants to listen to that.

First let me start by saying I definitely do not think there should be a tattoo shop in DTD, however, tattoo shops shouldn't be compared to the likes of waffle houses, liquor stores, and strip clubs. Many tattoo's (including mine) are artfully done and not trashy and most people who do tattoos consider themselves artists. Though I know the tattoos of Calvin peeing on things do exist.

Since you can't even get a shave at the Barber Shop on Main St. USA because of liability issues, then I'd say the chances of getting tattoos are out.

Only if they put a law firm right next to it so I can fight a copyright infringment suit :)

In all honesty, I love seeing everyone's Disney tatoos but I dont think it works at WDW for a lot of reasons (branding, safety, etc).

^^THIS^^ (including mine too)

I just don't really think that a tatto shop would fit in with anything Disney has done. Downtown is the only place I could possibly see one, but it just doesn't fit.....

What about a temp-tattoo shop (better than the cheap sticker ones, though,) or a henna stall in DTD? I like the idea of the tattoo shop, but as everyone has pointed out, there's too many possible consequences/negatives.

Morocco in Epcot used to do Henna last I recall.

While I agree that a tattoo shop does not belong in Disney, I am somewhat offended (as a tattoo artist, as well as someone with alot of body art), that people insist on grouping people with tattoos that they require booze, check cashing stores in the vicinty, etc. 80% of people with tattoos, the general public would never even know that the people that have them. So I pose the question, just because a person has one, does that change the way they are thought of?. If that answer is yes, then I guess society is becoming even more shallow than I thought.

Yeah, this irony is ridiculous. I wish my Marine Grandpa (and his tattoo's) was alive to kick your $$@.

Calm down.

I've got 2 tattoos myself and have nothing against them, but certain things belong certain places, and a tattoo parlor doesn't belong at Disney.

BTW - Do you know what "irony" is? Because neither of the statements you are quoting are "ironic" in the least bit.

I really think they were being ironic. They didn't really mean that Disney should build a liquor store or loan depot. I think they were being sarcastic. They were stating something, but they did not mean it. One of the most common forms of irony - sarcasm.

Either way, I didn't mean to offend you! I've inserted a smiley into my original comment in the hopes of lightening up my post.
