I don't know if anyone one else caught this (and I'm going to tag @Lee @marni1971 @WDW1974 here just to get their take) but in the most recent issue of Celebrations, our pal Lou said not once but TWICE that 7 Dwarfs is quote "the next of the E-Ticket attractions" to open. So either he's in on what truly is the best kept secret of Walt Disney World or he's playing damage control for the Mouse. Have people inside been trying to pass this one off as an e-ticket now?

I should now take a moment to say that although I am a charter subscriber to Celebrations, this issues that came today is probably my last. Tim puts out a beautiful publication, but it's just too much fluff...

He's either spinning it at the mouse's behest, or he really has no clue what he's talking about.

Or both...

Remember when they tried to spin Mermaid as an E?

Yeah...

Lou Mongello is lying. Flat out. Spinning for his pals at Disney, so his next $400 tab at Top of The World just disappears for starters (in more ways than one). I have never picked up the publication beyond thumbing through it, and never would.

This attraction is a B Ticket in reality that can be talked up into C-Ticket territory. Lou knows he is flat out full of pooh when he calls it an E-Ticket, but maybe he'd like an Adventures By Disney tour to South Africa, China or Costa Rica (they're handing them out to bloggers anf travel agents, the backdoor way of bloggers, for a while now because they're struggling as a business and need to fool the masses of Disney fans) next.

You guys/gals need to understand what motivations exist behind 'opinions' that you hear regarding Disney.

E-Ticket? My it is!

Please, you are too smart for that. Hell, Lou is way too smart for that.

Just like he knew Mermaid wasn't close to E-Ticket material, he damn well knows this little kiddie coaster with two minor show scenes isn't either.

He really is sickening.

I remember that clearly. I assume though that the Mine Train is a step above Mermaid, and if they were trying to pass Mermaid off as a D now, then clearly the only place left for them to classify this one would be "E." I have a feeling though that it's more accurate to say that Mermain is a "C" and the Mine Train a "D."

Again, it's a beautiful publication...I've loved the "Shutters and Lenses" articles as well as the articles about Disneyland. They've also recently introduced some historical perspectives on the attractions, parks, the company and what have you. And the photos have always been great, but I've always looked at is as nothing more than a Love Affair to WDW.

I would think calling it a "B" though would be a bit harsh though? I think it would be a bit more rewarding experiance than the keel boats or explorer canoes of Yesterland.

Uh no, but you sure are.

I find it amusing that so many people are passing judgement on two rides they have never seen.

Additionally, the determination of a ride as E, D or other was made, when it really mattered, by the demand or projected for the ride.

We know the ride portion of Mermaid will be pretty much the same as the one in DCA so it's fair to judge it based on that.

Well demand isn't the determination for ticket nomenclature anymore. Neither Mermaid nor the Mine Train are E-tickets and we don't have to wait until they open to know that. I would argue Midway Mania isn't an E-ticket either although I'm sure there are those that disagree.

Why don't you tell us how you really feel? :D

I'll just be happy to experience another ride. SWSA was one we rode everytime that we were there but mainly because it was nigh unto a walk-on when everything else had a line. I'm even excited about the The Little Mermaid due to the theming and the fact that I'm fairly easy to please. I'll be at WDW in December right after the opening and am looking forward to visiting the fully opened area (excepting for the Mine Train coaster). I am jealous that WDW1974 is in Cali as that was my original plan until my wife stated that she didn't wish to do a four and a half hour flight this year.

Two? Plenty of people have experienced The Little Mermaid.
