The only way it would be better would be for discounted day tickets when the park closes at 6pm. Anything less is a blatant cash grab.
Anyone with a multi day ticket already has a discounted ticket.. any one who would buy a full price ticket would purchase it willingly, the dates are announced long beforehand.

We used a one day hopper and a MVMCP ticket for the same day last year. Was I thrilled with the cost? Nope. Did I do it any way because I wanted to spend the day at Disney? Yep. .. and we had a fantastic time that day and night, so it was “worth it”.
If it’s not worth it to someone else, just don’t do it. Simple as that.

Not many tourists are able to schedule like that. Not even an apologist can deny the lack of value.

Did you read my post? I was a tourist. I had one day, 2 nights. Both nights were MVMCP.
I didn’t check into our resort until almost 10pm, so MVMCP that night would have been a waste. So, we did a One Day Hopper the next day (went to AK and DHS) and a MVMCP ticket that night. Went back to hotel to sleep for 4 hours after, then drove to SoFla early AM.

It’s really not that difficult to make a decision when you have limited time.. either plan around it, or don’t. And choose- day, party, or both. It’s not about being an “apologist” it’s called making decisions based upon your own schedule.

Of course not.
Exactly.

It’s called living and understanding that the world doesn’t revolve around my schedule. You know what else I was willing to do? Stay at a resort that would never have been a consideration otherwise, because I couldn’t justify the price of the resort that I wanted with what we were doing the next day and the limited time that we had.
Choices, everyone has them. No sense in whining about things that we can control.

So where’s the 25% off ticket to account for the 25% less time you have in the park?
How are you coming up with 25% less park time?

Actually, I think we all need to understand that we aren’t “owed” something. Disney offers a ticket- Buy It. Don’t Buy It.
The situation is not complicated. Choose a day.. check the schedule.. make a decision.

Basing a "normal" day on a 9am to 9pm. On an event day it becomes 9am to 6pm.
Didn’t they open the park at 8am last year? On our day MK opened at 8am with “free” Extra Magic Hours at 7am.

I haven’t checked the schedule this year, not sure if they’re doing the same. Either way though, it doesn’t matter. It’s a ticket offered for sale. A consumer knows what they’re buying.. Disney isn’t taking something away.. they are providing exactly what they offered for that specific day.

Not even an apologist can deny the lack of value. But they will no doubt try to.

Understand that no one is taking away “25%”? It’s a simple business transaction.
For Sale- 1 Day at MK- Hours X-X clearly shown on the schedule.

Value is relevant to the person who chooses to buy or not buy. Pretending that Disney is taking something away from the buyer is a complete falsehood. They didn’t take anything away from that person. They sold a product, provided the product.

My kid’s birthday is tomorrow. He asked for 4 soccer jerseys, the 4 shorts to go with them, and 3 warm ups.

He’s not getting even close to all of that.

I can rant and rave about “OMG Adidas and Nike are sooo mean!!! That’s not fair that they charge $99 for kid’s jerseys and $50 for shorts!!”
OR....
I can do what I did. Not buy all of it, because I don’t see the value in what is offered. I think those prices for a young kid are absolutely ridiculous. But, they’re selling out, so there’s plenty of other parents who are willing to do it. I don’t begrudge them.

Disney is just like any other buying decision.
