Selling Magic Kingdom 3x a day....

So, I was looking at the MNSSHP party dates, and something jumped out to me. On 3 dates, August 28th, Sept 4th and Sept 11, the MK is being sold 3 times!!!!

Early morning Magic from 7:45-10am. Then regular operating hours till 6p. Then MNSSHP at night.

This is outrageous IMO. A "guest" with a regular park ticket should probably just cross MK off their to do list on these days. The value of that ticket has been reduced so far as to be a joke.

With all the ways Disney reaches into our pockets, this is the one that annoys me the most.
So where exactly are you getting your mis-information?? I just check the calendar on the official Disney site and here are the hours for the dates you mentioned.

08/28/2018 - MK is open from 9:00am - 6:00pm with a MNSSHP from 7:00pm - Midnight
09/04/2018 - MK is open from 9:00am - 9:00pm
09/11/2018 - MK is open from 9:00am - 6:00pm with a MNSSHP from 7:00pm - Midnight

There is no MNSSHP on the 4th but there is one on the 3rd. There is no Extra Morning Magic hours (the ones you pay for) listed for August or Sept (calendar is only update through 09/16/2018). On Fridays they do have free extra magic hours for resort guests in the morning from 8:00 to 9:00 with a MNSSHP in the evening.

I got everything from Disney's website last night. I did confuse October 4th with September 4th though. So it's two days (as of now) not 3. Sorry.

Anyway, go ahead to this link and you can see EMM....

Also, here is a picture. The blue dates are the available dates for EMM.

So, in short, I got my "misinformation" from Disney.

Thanks for double checking my work though. Next time double check yours as well? Mmmkay?

I see the question marks but I do not understand what your question is.

Thank you for the link. Honestly, I was confusing this event with the ones where the parks open late or close early for the hard ticket event. Thank you for the clarification. Now I know that the event your eluding to has no effect on the opening of the park for the normal park guest. Not that I would pay extra for what sounds like breakfast and a version of additional FP's for fantasyland but some people might. As long as it doesn't effect my ability to access the rides more power to them.

Ah, you think it doesn't effect you. Gotcha.

Wait, I have not been to Disneyworld for 2 years...are you saying they charge now for Extra Morning Hours?
No. They still have the normal free EMH's. This "event" gives you breakfast at the park, early access to Fantasyland only and what sounds like a version of a fastpass until 10 am for fantasyland attractions. The park still opens at 9:00 for regular park guests.

If I'm at the park that early I'm in the FP line already. If my first FP is for SDMTR I may have a couple extra people in front of me I will deal with it. Its not the complete destruction of the Kingdom.
You are looking at it in a very narrow way. Yes, the few people ahead of you in line don't "really" effect you. It's the general idea of what TDO is doing. They are taking the park, segmenting the day. And selling those segments seperately.

Eh. I know that many people feel this is the equivalent of digging up Walt's body and kicking him in the face. Me? I just don't really care that much.

The last two times we've been, we went during Halloween party season, so I know all about Magic Kingdom having many days where it closes early for the party. There are other days when it doesn't. Plan accordingly. There are three other parks. As for them adding a paid event in the morning before normal park hours, okay, so what? They are still offering the standard EMH on other days for resort guests.

I know, I know. It's all corporate greed. If I think it doesn't affect me, I'm wrong. I'm just a pixie duster. I'm sure folks will have a litany of reasons I'm wrong. And that's fine. But, sorry, this one doesn't get me worked up.

The only way to stop this is to stop buying upsells...maybe stop buying Day tickets as well...

Not gonna happen because the children buying these tickets are less mature than the actual children.

Pray for a recession before its too late (sad, but true)

I argue against the grain that they might as well just roll the party price into the main ticket price and be done with these shenanigans.

If they are saying the park is too crowded, then obviously the ticket price isn't high enough. If they are saying the per cap isn't high enough to offer nice parades and stay open later, then increase the per cap.

At this point I rather then just charge $199 a day and be open from 7 am till 11 pm with tons of great service and extra special perks and parades for everyone. Make it a good experience again and thin the crowds a bit in the process.

So should we open our way of looking at it even more to say they are selling MK 100 times a day? After all they do 7 or so different tours in MK all starting at varying times, Disney after dark, MNSSHP, MVMCP, EMM, Tomorrow land desert party, and I'm sure a couple I can't think of.

Or just roll everything into the fact upcharges are now unacceptable and are impacting the “normal” $100 a day paying guest.

This actually has some merit. Enough with all the nickel and diming BS. Roll all this crap into one price and make the place more all inclusive.

Some of what you said, sure, it's all the same idea. Selling and reselling the park.

Let's focus on these days where they are selling the park 3 times. Wouldn't the common sense customer service move be to have Early Morning Extra Magic on days you have the parties? Give guests some value for their regular ticket? Instead, TDO is selling you a form of early morning extra magic. It stinks.

But unfortunately that is the way everything is in life. Your car does not come fully loaded, you pay extra for options. Your house is not built with the best appliances, you pay extra for them. Your computer does not come with the best and fastest hardware, you pay extra for it. Your phone doesn't come with the most memory unless you pay extra. Life is packed with "basics" and you add in what you want.
