Saw the "Dream Squad" in action today

They are not unlimited fast passes. These tabs could clearly be detached from the card. Each tab was for 1 fast pass for each of the major rides. In other words 1 tab for Soarin =1 entrance to Soarin. Not unlimited entrances.
And nothing stopped you from getting a fast pass for the ride like the 99.x% of the remaining people. The only difference between the Dream Fast Passes and the normal ones is that the dream ones do not have a time window.

Most of the Dream squad awards will be given out discretely so poeple won't become upset and cause a scene. The dream seekers are also using backstage walkways to get around, so people don't follow them. Many people who win a bigger prize (night in the castle) won't know it, they'll just recieve a card that says go to City hall, and they will descretely tell them there and take care of it.

You have to reaslize, if they did it for everyone it would no longer be special. I know how 6 year olds can be, but I promise you, in a few days they wont remember it. However the cast memeber on the dream squad who is trying to make some magic will remember a rant you give them after they are just doing what they are there to do.
Today they gave away mickey ears on Primeval Whirl, only like 150 or something. Once they were gone they were gone, yet people jumped in line thinking they would get one and didnt and got mad and started a fuss.
Sorry folks, but not everyone gets something. There are million and millions of special moments, BUT! there are millions and millions and millions of guests...

I sure could have used that 1 tab for soarin! Why do they say it it a fastpass attraction when there is no Fastpasses? At 3:30 pm they were covered up and thay said they were gone for the day! I was not about to wait 130 min.!
Once the times run out thats it. They cant add more hours onto the day.
They can refill the paper, but once all ride times are distributed its done. If not it would defeat the purpose of the system.

I like the fun randomness, and to be honest, next time a visit the Parks i'm actually not going to concern myself or worry too much about "winning". I think this promotion will just increase the excitement of being in the Parks, not knowing for sure if you will bump into one of the Dream Squad. It's a little more "Magic" in the air.....pixiedust you could say.
I think it's a fun thing, and i like the ideas i have heard so far for the "prizes" ( like Mickey Ear giveaways, and the Dream Passes). I am sure they have far more tricks up there sleeve.....
I can see though that some Guests may get bent out of shape, having a hard time coming to grips with the "randomness" of the giveaways. I can easily see how someone can make the mistake of assuming a visit automatically entitles them to a instant Dream prize. "Entitlement Syndrome" one could call this. It's too bad, but i know that some irate Guests may get so bent about it they will raise the roof at Guest Relations. I would like to think that people will keep things in perspective, but we all know the world is'nt like that! :lol:

You had the same chance to get a Soarin' Fastpass as anyone else. Next time, you'll know to get there earlier.

After reading this post, I was disturbed. But then after reading several other posts from you while scrolling through this topic, I can honestly say you have the worst attitude I have ever seen on this board.
It's shameful at best that you are here ranting because *you* didn't win something that was a random selection process. Like someone already pointed out to you, the single worst thing a person can have in life is the sense of entitlement. There is *nothing* special about you that makes you deserve something more than anyone else. You might as well pull the race card next. It's a COMPLETELY RANDOM SELECTION of people that get prizes. You in no way got screwed. Do you post these disturbing rants against McDonalds every time your french fry box doesn't win you a car?
As for your kid - he's six? Fine. If he's that ungreatful at the age of six that he's taken to Walt Disney World and even that isn't good enough to make him happy he deserves to be punished severely. He obviously doesn't know how to show appreciation for something as special as getting to go on vacation as a child. I have many friends that *NEVER* traveled out of the state they were born in until they were 21. The biggest problem I have with your six your old is that he is going to grow up to be *just like you* whine and complain every time he doesn't get something for free.
You know why you had such a terrible trip? Because you have a terrible attitude. If you won the fastpass card, you'd be upset that someone else won the castle stay. If you won the castle stay you'd be upset that someone else won a trip to another resort.
Because you have a terrible attitude.
