Save the Adventurers Club

Well everywhere but a little building on the former PI that has the words "Adventurer's Club" engraved in stone over the front door.

I'm not trying to create any false rumors, but I just have a feeling they have a long range plan for the AC idea at WDW. Unless, of course, the well meaning fans so tick off the deciders that they just nix the idea.

Honestly, it really is starting to smell like a "franchise". And when that word is used under the Disney banner these days it means a bright future for the concept indeed.

Hmmm....I had heard something vaguely similar to this before, but wrote it off as not really possible. The whole " "The Society of Explorers and Adventurers" idea isn't new, but was really just kinda forgotten.

Now....with Hunter giving us this.....I gotta wonder.

(But...If they were going to continue using the theme at WDW, why not use the existing facilities/props that have been there for years and are ready to go? Would make more sense to start from scratch at HK...)

This is exciting and sad at the same time. Exciting because we could have been and could still potentially be part of this huge overarching backstory that spans the globe, and it's sad because we're losing the original piece to it all.

Perhaps they have plans to start from scratch in Animal Kingdom:shrug: We could still retain one of the two colonels.

We could still retain one of the two colonels.
Indeed we could.
In fact, even though I was unable to acquire a ticket to Congaloosh, I will be lurking around the Club area next Saturday night, enjoying the vibe. If a Colonel happened to somehow find his way out the back door, I would be happy to escort him a safe distance from any potential harm or kidnapping that might possibly have beeen his intended fate.:drevil:

(NOTE:I'm not advocating any illegal activities....I'm just saying....an underground railroad type of deal might not be a bad thing. :D)

Just kidding.

Really.

I would never.

Probably.

Lee...as much as it's going to sound weird from me: I actually agree with JT.

I think something is on the way. And I think we may want to look at JC post-refurb for some hints.

As of now, I'm still going, but if I can't, I'll sell you my ticket.

We're getting two shows: Radiothon and the Hoopla. I'm hoping I get to see the colonel in action again for the Rhythm Ritual. Then I'll sneak him out back;)

Excellent!

Oops...I mean....I would never stoop to anything so low....

Yeah....right.....
I want that Samurai statue with the diving helmet...by any means necessary.
(First choice would be the God With a Rod...but he won't fit in the car....)

Fascinating...

You know, Disney really has the makings of a killer franchise with this stuff. Done right it could be even better than Pirates of the Caribbean. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about... So much potential...

You're joking right?

No, I'm not. I believe Jungle Cruise and the Adventurers Club, along with some of these newer elements like Hightower, Mystic, and this DisneySEA thing could translate extremely well into a movie series.

Ugh, you shouldn't have given him the attention he so desperately craves from the AC fans. He's our resident Conundrum in this thread.

They already have one -- It's called "The African Queen". :lookaroun

(The Jungle Cruise was, in fact, based on that movie, even the design of the boats.)

Yea, as Lee said, other than the look of the boats, there's really nothing else from AQ in JC. Jungle Cruise is as much based on African Queen as Haunted Mansion is based of Ghostbusters. JC is more inspired by Walt's trip to South America than anything else.

And the JC is just calling to have a great movie made for it.

The EXPLORER"S CLUB? BLASPHEMY!

But yes...that end is very exciting...

*Crosses fingers*
Honestly...I effing LOVE IT!:lol::sohappy:

Wonder why.:lookaroun

There's more than enough material there to do a whole trilogy or more. You could start with a Jungle Cruise movie, introduce the Adventurers Club as a major part of the story, then the next film could be the Adventurers Club, and then from there you could even conceivably have individual movies featuring Pleasure, Hightower, Mystic, etc.

I agree in FULL, here. The tie ins already to the park, the stories, the depth of this...I REALLY like it.

In fact...Sig Worthy! Avatar soon.

I could not agree more with you.

Hope they expand upon it.

Soooo....who wants me to make a SEA Social Group?:lookaroun
