Merge Star Wars and Muppets...an all Yoda (he's a Muppet-at least the original one was) attraction like "Turtle Talk with Crush" but call it 'Jedi Master Talk n' Training with Yoda'. Kids come in and sit up front while Yoda takes their questions and gives them sage advice- "Stay in school you must"', "Drugs take you do not" and of course "Use the fork". Music is supplied in the pre-show area by a combination Cantina Band and Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem as they perform Frank Zappa. You exit through a gift shop where you can buy both Muppet stuff and Star Wars stuff and the knowledge that you have grown immensely as a citizen of a galaxy far far away...:D

Yesterland is a wonderful place where everything is better than it was when it was here. If Muppets get banished to Yesterland, they will be in good company.

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
There is the world's biggest, gigantic ad for "The Muppets" ABC show over Toys R Us in New York... Just saying. It's like.. REALLY huge in person. Coming back from a NYC trip just today.

Heading into the first episode The Muppets is receiving mixed reviews, but pretty good social buzz.
I think it'll be take more than one season to see how long it sticks around. This wouldn't be the first time a show with only an okay pilot comes out strong late.

Again, I can understand pointing these characters at an adult audience, but some of the stuff these critics mention...really? Really?

I'm glad I'll never have to endure the sight of Johnny Depp doing the walk of shame from Minnie Mouse's trailer...

For someone who allegedly doesn't care about the Muppets, you've certainly put a lot of time and effort into looking up, reading, and then posting reviews.

"Closeted"? Shouldn't the term be "sock drawer"?

Wakka-wakka or however it's spelled.

My interest is in seeing an unnecessary purchased IP excised from the parks so that more actual studio-generated Disney creations can take its place, as I've mentioned more than once. There can never be enough of that in, you know, a Disney park. Although, as I've also mentioned before, the way things are rolling, if the puppets did leave, Iger would probably stick another of his purchases in their place. So whatever.

Having said all that, I actually respect that the people behind the puppets are gutsy enough to try something different. It's hard to knock that. But...when Miss Piggy talks about getting a teat-lift, then um, gee, guys, I dunno....but whatever rocks your world.

IPs have always been a big part of DHS/MGM. If you are using that reasoning to get rid of the Muppets because they aren't a Disney original, then the Great Movie Ride, Tower of Terror, Indiana Jones, and Star Tours all also need to get the boot, as well. Plus, Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast aren't original ideas created by Disney, so get rid of those, as well. In fact, get rid of everything in Disney World based on a fairy tale or book because we can just say that Walt Disney ripped off the creativity of others when making movies like Snow White, and they weren't his original ideas.

Regarding the show, I see that you have ignored the positive reviews. Seeing as how the show is currently "fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes, that means the majority of reviews (60% or more) are positive.

Anyway... I say keep Muppet Vision, but update it. I would wait until at least one of the new lands is open before shutting it down for the long refurb, though.

Muppet Vision 3D is a classic, and it holds special significance as Jim Henson's last project.

It is not, however, timeless. Just the opposite in fact. Making a big fuss about 3D is terribly out of date when you consider that 3D movies are now commonplace. The other parts of the film are fine but the 3D stuff drags it down.

I'd like to see the Muppets remain but with a new film. They could go the Star Tours route and randomize which sketches you see, to make it repeatable as well.

He doesn't care about reviews. Muppets Most Wanted got very good reviews, and that hasn't stopped him from calling it a bomb at every opportunity.

The new Muppets Show - the one that just premiered on ABC - had one of those effects on me where you have a hard time picturing the way they are evolving, I guess you can call it. I thought it was pretty racy for a Muppets show. My childhood is ruined! I don't know, are they going for a more adult crowd now?

I haven't ignored the positive reviews. I did a Google search and posted the first ones I found.

Are these reviews on the Rotten Tomatoes site?

And please spare me the tired old B.S. that when Walt and company adapted fairy tales for the big screen, he was "ripping them off". He adapted and plussed them, made his own version, the Disney version. That's called "creativity", as opposed to "buying up stuff that's already been adapted and exploited by others to the Nth degree".

If a tribute to Disney animation and Walt Disney himself are being removed from DHS, then why should the Muppets stay? Shouldn't there be a tribute to Disney animation in a Disney park that's dedicated to movies?
