I really do not like Mexican food at all, but I wanted to take my GF here in Sept because of the setting. Im sure I could find something I like to eat. Hopefully its done by then...

Chips? Another bastardisation of the Queens English buy Johnny Foreigner.

Begging your pardon, I was being lazy. What I meant to say was Nachos, Nacho Chips...............whatever blows your kilt up!!:ROFLOL:

And I do remember seeing the Tostidos logo before we sat down for dinner, maybe it was on the new ride or maybe it was on the menu somewhere. I even mentioned to my Dad that I hoped they were not using those types of CHIPS and was greatly disappointed when they did. I'm with you BGRAHAM34, they need to make their own Nachos.

I agree on bringing back the Queso - it was awesome!!

In our opinion the tostitos were the best thing on their tables. This is no food like any other, not even Mexico, not Tex Mex, Not anything. It is the worst food on the entire Disney site. It seems that people up North think it is ok. So therefore if WE EVER go up North Mexican food will be the last thing on our list. It's like eating cold mush on the plate and sorry to say we paid big money to eat there for 5 of us and all took one bite and were done and left. It is embarrassing for us Americans or Mexicans to serve this type of food in a place where all walks of life come to visit and then think this is Mexican food in any form.

I'm so sad to hear this! I agree, the food isn't the best in the World Showcase, but I LOVE the atmosphere. My husband and I got engaged in The World Showcase and then had dinner at San Angel Inn. We always eat there our first night of our vacation, even before our engagement. It has been our tradition for the last 6 vacations. I'm glad we go to eat there our last trip on Feb. 1st. This really makes me sad!! It's such a romantic place to eat and relax, watching the volcano and the boats go by!! How depressing!!

San Angel Inn used to be wonderful ... for most of the 80s and 90s ... they had a much more extensive/authentic menu. It was terrific.

They also had homemade chips and two kinds of salsa they made in house as well.

Now ... it's been WalMarted and is a total joke. I would compare it to the Olive Garden except OG doesn't pretend it is anything more than it is. SAI is supposed to be a fine Mexican restuarant.

Tostitos and jar salsa?!?!?

Not for me.

(Has had a secret dirty pleasure of asking Gordon Ramsey to visit Mexico's San Angel Inn and wonders if he would throw something into the flume...)
