The 'TDO is cheap' meme died when they broke ground for Disney Springs. And Pandora. And Star Wars Land. And Toy Story Land. And..... to be announced.

I would say most logical people would point to Toy Story Land as proof of TDO's cheapness, not the opposite. Especially since the new art came out clearly showing cuts to the land that somehow make it look even cheaper.

TDO doesn't decide what WDW spends on capital projects either. Not of this scale. The fact that $1bn buys two rides should be concerning to anyone. It used to buy a theme park. 10 years ago it would have bought 10 Everests. What is going on?

Depends on the details. If they cut back on the coaster to make it more accessible to young families I think that is smart. Studios won't be lacking in thrill rides soon. I like that the park skews towards an older audience but it should still keep young families in mind. It is still a Disney park.
