RUMOR: New 2011 discounts being announced for Walt Disney World

We have our trip booked for Nov/Dec...we received the free dining but with this rumor hopefully we will get the room discount....fingers crossed!!!

If staying Deluxe, Free Dining is usually a mid size discount. Room only can sometimes save you almost 2x as much.

I wish I could honestly say I wasn't all that excited about all this "rumor" stuff....BUT as I'm staying 7 nights sohappy - the prospect of buy 4 get 3 free PLUS a gift card has me absolutely wishing tomorrow morning was here already! LOL :ROFLOL:

We r booked at a value resort which entitled us to the free quick service but upgraded to the disney dining....another discount would be awesome!!!!

From what I can recall, UK guests have been the only ones that have ever been offered Free Dining plus another discount.

They were offered Free Dining + 40% off. The main reason seems to be because their trips can often last 3+ weeks. Having a room booked for a month = steady business.

I booked my October 2011 trip a few days ago and the CM told me that was a good time to go because of free dining. That they were going to offer it again this year, but I notice that it is not on my reservation. I figured that since it was so far out it could not be posted yet. I might get lucky yet.

Free dining has been announced right around the first week of April every year until this year when it was announced the first week of May instead.

we too are about to book our trip for Oct. '11. can we just call and add free dining if they offer it for when we are there and what about the buy 4 get 3 deal? we are planning on 10 or 11 days, can u still get some kind of a discount.

I know they usually announce it about 6 months out so I was kind of surprised that she had mentioned it. I thought I would just keep my mouth shut and wait until April/May and then just add it to my reservation.

Yes! Thanks for the update! I hope the room discount is true. Would love to get mine cheaper.

There are 56,000+ cast members at WDW... all of them get up to 60% off room rates. You might want to make friends with one on your next trip :animwink:

I just read of the 2011 discounts and they seem to be listed HERE.

Looks like one option is a full vacation package that will include Free Dining, another package is a full vacation package that will have (up to) a $500 gift card, and another discount is an (up to) 40% discount room rate in various level resorts.

Not liking these discounts. All of the black out dates coincide with school vacations. I'll wait a few months to see if a room discount comes along like last year.
