It was also supposed to be used for Dragon Towers.

I like the idea of an Interactive water ride. After the buzz lightyear ride, I don't think there could ever be too many interactive rides. They just add to the fun.

You've said this before. I've read a ton of stuff on Dragon Tower(I'm literally obsessed), including interviews with the guy who designed it, and I've never seen anything about it being a morpher. Not saying you're wrong, but would you mind linking where you've seen that?:wave:

I'm still looking for where I read/heard that Dragon Tower was to be a morphing coaster, but my understanding was that instead of the morph section being at a Volcano like in Fire Mountain, it was to be at the point of a Dragon attack.

Could be entirely different though, hence the new patent.

Ok, this is what I could find - I know I read a full article on this, and Jim Hill references an article that's got full details of the ride within this article. The problem is, the link is broken.

He references a Mark Goldhaber article, but that link is broken. This is what I turned up:

In this article it's described as an inverted coaster. Considering this seems to be straight from an Imagineer I'll assume that whatever I read was incorrect, and the fact that I can't find anything confirming it has me believing that I'm mistaken. Sorry for the confusion.

Barring budget cuts, it would have been something built in the past 10 years that everyone would have agreed was true Disney. Everything about that place would have been amazing.

This ride systems seems annoying. I remember seeing it in RCT3 and thinking "why would it be fun to have a gallon of water dumped over your head at night speeds?".

Why Disney, Why?!

Remember, just because they patented it, doesn't mean it will ever be used.

A very similar ride called Buccaneer Battle at Six Flags Great America was new for last year, and I can honestly say it's the most fun I've had on a water attraction. :lol:

perhaps they were looking at it's use in a water park... They build the master blaster water coaster at typhoon lagoon, maybe they were looking at something new at blizzard beach? That or design the concept, and then lease the patents to another company like what they did with the air launch firework tech.

By that theory, you'd only need one attraction at a water park. :)
It seems that water parks need to find new and innovative ways for guests to get wet, because a lot of people like new and innovative ways to get wet. :)

Hopefully the roller soaker style coaster never comes to Disney. The capacity on them are among the worst in the amusement industry. There is a reason parks take them out.

Now a Splash Battle on the other hand...
