"Rotating Rides With Interactive Water Features" Patent

Pumbas Nakasak

Heading for the great escape.
Its to be used with the new chips, it searches a data base and if youve made posts critical of the mouse you get pounded by water cannon

It basically sounds like they patented a rotating system like a ferris wheel on its side, that allows guests to squirt water at something rather than just dumping it, and possibly can refill when empty. There is a part about only a gallon of reserve in the tanks without some tyope of refill mechanism. I could not find any pictures yet.

I hope this is a ride for a waterpark, not one of the big 4 at wdw. I can tell you it is not fun walking around all day in soaking wet shorts. This is why i dont ride KRR at DAK. If Splash Mountain wasnt so damn fun I wouldn't risk getting shot by the water cannon in the beginning of the ride, zuch a gamble at times. I just hate walking around with wet shorts and shoes, not a fun vacation no matter how hot it is outside. JMO:fork:

This would be GREAT for either BB or TL. Capacity wouldn't be as much a concern with smaller crowds in either of those parks than the main 4. I'm not a fan of these types of rides that soak you unless it's in a water park, where you're prepared for that and it's pretty much the reason you're there.

This could be really cool.

So after some research, disney has just added a water playground at castaway key on there private island. Any possiblity that they may be adding some kind of water park area there. They are expanding the island.

my guess would be that they bought the patent for this technology so that no competitors could use it, as opposed to getting it to use themselves. i doubt that you will see this concept used on any wdw attraction in the realistic near future.

that being said, if it appeared at bb/tl it would make me question my self imposed exile (circa 2001) from those parks.

I wondered if it might actually go on a cruise ship. A different water attraction on each ship would be a cool/good way to get people to try different ships.

By that theory, you'd only need one attraction at a water park. :)
It seems that water parks need to find new and innovative ways for guests to get wet, because a lot of people like new and innovative ways to get wet. :)

Slides offer thrill..... what does this offer besides getting drenched?

As you might be able to glean from the pictures I posted, you don't need height, speed et al. to have thrills, even in a water attraction.

Sometimes walking around in wet shorts is nice, especially if its 90 plus degrees. okay well maybe not, a wet shirt much better.

Cool ride idea, but which park would it blend in with the best? I'm thinking somewhere in the Hollywood Studios back lot area. It gets hot at that park with no water attractions to cool down with during the summer.
