Rock n Roller Coaster refurb--has the inevitable arrived?

1. I didn't see it mentioned but if it were going to be a change of music, wouldn't RnRC be down for a much longer expanded period of time. And if they did do this, I would not ever ride that ride again.

2. I watched one of Lady Gaga's performances, and to me she is probably the most dramatic singer ever. Watching her performance is like watching a play with how dramatic she makes everything. Im not a huge fan, but yes she is talented and her songs are catchy, which is what draws me in.

I think that as popular as Hannah Montanna is today, it will also be a "Fad" which will fade. Im not a large rock and roll fan, but Aerosmith is a band which has been around for years and i think gives the ride an awsome atmosphere. I dont think they should change it!

Theoretically we are all entitled to hold an opinion but some of you should be on the Sunshine coach climbing up sunshine mountain.

Oh yes Kiss would be a much better idea than Lady GaGa. Oh wait, they are one in the same though. Dressing up in ridiculous outfits to hide the fact that their music is garbage.

I know there is no danger of Aerosmith leaving as of now, but hopefully they always stay imo.

So RnRC closes for a few days again for regular maintainence and all the rumours start to fly again....

Exactly, if Aerosmith were to ever leave, which hopefully be any time soon, hopefully they would make a bigger deal out of it. Then again there really isn't that much to change as far as theming if they ever were to switch so i doubt it would be a long rehab:shrug:.

If you think Lady GaGa has no talent, you're silly.

Watch those and tell me she's talentless ;). I don't like her crazy act all that much, but you can't deny that she has talent.

Anyway, it'd be a shame if they change it. It should always be Aerosmith, even when they're long gone.
If you read what I posted, I didn't say she had no talent. I said she had none of the flair for drama or the style and none of the talent of David Bowie, who it seems to me she's trying unsuccessfully to emulate.

Her "crazy act" as you aptly call it is exactly what I'm talking about.

You know what this is? A list of bands that (since 1990) have spent at least a month as the "hottest band in the world that will revolutionize music as we know it". Some even got a few years and more than one album of popularity. But, you'll notice how you probably couldn't name a song from half of them. I love how every generation of teenagers thinks they were the first to discover pop music.

/In my day, it was Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Guns N Roses

I probaly have a CD or two from at least 70% of the above atrists. :D

Sugar Ray is playing at Food and Wine this year - does that mean Lady GaGa will too? (lord, I hope not)

If anybody likes Lady GaGa's music then thats cool, but realize what it is. Pro Tools 'singing' (more like chanting) over a drum machine beat with a bunch of subjects that appeal to the teen mindset (______, alcohol, cell phones, etc) and some very very good marketing.

As for RnRC, it needs songs that you can drive to. Drive as in a beat up 1970' Duster with the factory radio blaring out of the dash speaker going 90 miles an hour down a back country road and hoping a you don't throw a rod, have it come through the firewall, hit you in the thigh and then you bleed out and die.

Some how lyrics like "Rah rah ah ah ah, Roma Roma-ma Ga Ga ooh la la" don't invoke that feeling with me.

I am thinking more along the lines of Highway to Hell, Panama, Paradise City, Red Barchetta (ooo, thats a good one), heck YYZ as well.

I personly think White Stripes fits, but I realize that is not for everyone.

One thing has become abundantly clear...
Uni has the right idea with Rip Ride Rocket. Let the rider choose their own song.
Works great for me. I tend to use U2's "Vergito." and Beastie Boys' "Intergalactic"

But how would that work with RnRC, where the queue and the ride theme work together? You can't exactly have Steve Tyler getting you backstage passes for U2's concert on the other side of town...

Now this I can get behind!!!

I was calling your assumptions because you are 19 stupid, not your opinions. I even agree that Lady GaGa is pretty good, but some age is required when you start talking about being the single biggest thing since Elvis and sliced bread.

While I understand what you are saying, it was not me who first said that "she is the biggest thing since Elvis". It was my 52 year old father who loves all music from The Beatles to Aerosmith and from Madonna to Lady Gaga.

If you think Lady GaGa has no talent, you're silly.

The Idea that Disney would even think about using Lady GAGA in the parks might be the worst and most impossible thing I have heard since I have been coming to the boards.

You have a better chance of seeing Horizons and WOM coming back before Disney would ever even consider this.
