Thanks. I was thinking of making ADRs around a performance time, so I would have something to watch while I wait and eat :)

Thanks, that make me feel better. This is our first TS meal on our trip (our flight lands @ noon), and we don't have anything else special planned for the day, so we can linger if we need to.

I went here by myself as a spur-of-the-moment meal after having to cancel one of my ADRs last month. It was definitely my favorite meal of the trip! I went at 4pm and was there til 5pm. Unfortunately, I missed the entertainment. I would definitely recommend the place though!

Its a must for us, usually for lunch. Everything sounds so exotic, but its really just the same stuff you always eat, but with different spices. They use cinnamon, nutmeg etc...stuff you don't usually think goes with meats/veggies.

I also really enjoyed the food. I thought the belly dancer was only so-so, but the food was quite good.

This restaurant is a must for us every time we're at WDW. We have a Moroccan restaurant here in our neighborhood, and while Marrakesh isn't as good as this one, it is still pretty damn good. So I would highly recommend it.

Don't miss out on ordering the hot mint tea. We order that even in the middle of summer. Make sure you put at least a packet of sugar (or your favorite sweetner) in your cup. Morroccan tea tends to be sweet, but they make it unsweetened in that restaurant. Ask for refills if you run out.

Zz.

I have always enjoyed this, for me (I know I'm boring :)) it is def. a walk on the "wild side". Despite being fairly picky, I have always left very satisfied.

the atmosphere is terrific; from the live band to the (very ample) belly dancer. the food is pretty good too. you should try it at least once.

We loved it! I was a little leary since I'm kind of a picky eater, I don't really like anything too spicy.

The atmosphere was great! The music was nice and the belly dancer was very good.

I was pleasantly surprised with the food. I got the shish kabobs since I thought that they would be pretty much what I was used to & they were great. I love their rice and mint tea as well. (I got the iced tea) Everyone in our party of 8 enjoyed their meal. I would definitely recommend trying it.

Marrakesh is my absolute favorite restaurant.
I too am fairly picky and was leary of trying anything too "different." All of their chicken dishes are absolutely wonderful and the atmosphere is great as well. I really enjoyed the belly dancer, I thought it was a really cool experience, I would say you should try it once at least!

Neither of us liked the seasoning on the main course at all (Chicken Kabobs and Chicken couscous) however the seafood pastery thing that I had for an appetizer was amaizing. My parents at there about a week before us and had the lamb and said that was very good as well. Next time we go back there again it will probably be for appetizers and dessert instead of a whole meal. I loved the atmosphere and when we were there at 2:30 the resturant was almost compleatly empty. It was a nice quiet brake from the heat of the day.

My fave restaurant! I always get the Chicken Bastilla and the Chicken Couscous, both SOOO good!

Marrakesh is an excellent choice for dining for a few reasons.

1) the food is excellent - the lamb shank literally falls off the bone and has a mouth watering taste that makes you sad when the plate is empty.

2) the ambiance is superb - it is stark in it's color choices but elegant in it's details. Take the time to walk around the restaraunt and read all the small plaques and such. It's a history lesson about the relationship between the USA and the kingdom of Morrocco.

3) Possibly the best reason - is that there is almost always a reservation available. I think that tourists are just in general afraid to try authentic style Morrocian foods and therefore would rather stick to the more recognizable fares. So if you ever are at Disney and need a reservation - Try Marrakesh- you will enjoy it.

Definitely a fun place. The theming and the music and dancer are wonderful. The food is pretty good as well. Especially if you've never been, it's a must-do.

My opinion is, its a "decent" place to dine. If you have other options, I would chose differently, but if your stuck, its a "decent" place to eat.

Much better then counter service, but not the best table service. But, my palette tends to run towards higher quality dining than most.

Very much worth it to try. The lamb was very good.

I'm calling you guys up to the plate here! It would be great if you could take a few minutes to add your opinions to the Restaurant Marrakesh reviews page!

I enjoyed Marrakesh when I went a couple of years ago. The food is a little but different and you have to be willing to try some new things. However, what we had was very good.

After six trips to Disney World, we decided to eat at Marrakesh in October of 2006. Several of my friends had raved about it, but I've got to admit that I was a little disappointed, largely due to elevated expectations.

My meal (lemon chicken) was average, but the atmosphere is what disappointed me. It felt like a cafeteria, rather large and bland, decoratively speaking. We did not have a belly dancer during our visit, but a live musical performance for about 10 minutes.

If the Restaurant Marrakesh were in my neighborhood, I'd probably give it a better review; however, when at Disney World I feel there are more enjoyable places to dine.

Well, I bit the bullet and made my lunch ADR for 1 pm at Marrakesh (after my Segway tour). A little apprehensive (I have just been diagnosed with Celiac disease), but definitely willing to give it a try! I've already had the dining reservationist note it on my ADRs and I know the chefs will bend over backwards to ensure my meal will be fabulous. So ... any lunch menu recommendations? I was thinking the kabobs :slurp:

I had the chicken kabobs and they were great. Since I am sort of apprehensive when it comes to trying something new, I thought they would be the most "normal" of the items listed. They were really good and I loved the sauce and rice. It was different but in a good way.

They usually run a Chef's Special and thats what we usually get. You get salad, rice & kebabs, a bastilla and dessert all for about $15. Make sure you have the mint tea, hot or cold its a must. :slurp:
