Restaurant Help

Hubby and I are making our June plans. We're stuck on a couple of restaurant choices. Here's a list of where we are definitely eating because they are our favorites. These are all for dinner.

Whispering Canyon Cafe
1900 Park Fare
Captain's Grill
Coral Reef
Boatwrights
Artist Point
Maya Grill
Sci-Fi
Le Cellier
Liberty Tree Tavern

We are there for two weeks so we'll have a lot of time to try some new places. Right now, we have Tutto Italia, Teppan Edo, Turf Club, Cape May, and Yak and Yeti on our list of new places. Which of these have you tried? What do you like? Dislike? Also, what places do I not have listed that you would suggest? Thanks ever so much!

Oh, one more question. We traditionally have one breakfast. 1900 Park Fare is our favorite, but I hear wonderful things about Boma. What do you think? We ate at Boma for dinner in 2007 and thought it was just okay. How is the breakfast?

Been to Cape May for the seafood buffet and we all loved it, even my kids who are not big seafood eaters. They have plenty to choose from that is not seafood and the desserts are very yummy. :slurp:

Tutto

I will have to be honest, Tutto was not my favorite place. I dont know, the food was average and it just didn't have that Disney feel to it. Of course, we were soaking wet from the rain and had to wait over 1.5 hours past our reservation time, so maybe I was just a little Grumpy then.:p

Naturally Grumpy
Tutto Italia, Teppan Edo, Turf Club, Cape May, and Yak and Yeti

Dislike Tutto much. Very expensive for Chef Boyardee Italian.
Yak and Yeti, similar situation....very expensive glorified Chinese....do Nine Dragons instead.

Cape May is nice.
Haven't done Turf Club

Some possible other considerations:
Narcoossee's
O'hana
50's Prime Time
Hoop de do Review
Boma
Flying Fish
Yachtsman Steakhouse (better than Le Cellier IMHO)
Chef's de France
second on Morocco, a pleasant surprise, and not as exotic as you might think

I give huge thumbs up to both Turf Club and Cape May Buffet. Steaks are excellent at Turf Club. Seafood, plus turkery, roast beef and anything else you can think of at Cape May. So even your picky eater of a husband should be able to find a ton of stuff he likes.

I couldnt agree more. And living in NY and being from an Italian family, I know from good Italian food. One of my absolute favorites is Teppan Edo. Belle

We really like Cape May, there is absolutely something for everyone. Dh is huge into seafood and I am not so it really doesn't matter. The desserts are good too.

One other question. What about Tusker House? Good, bad, or just typical Disney buffet fare?

Just ate at Tusker House for supper in September. My husband likes some ethnic foods but can be a picky eater too. We both loved it. The atmosphere is great and the desserts were even better :slurp: We enjoyed it much more than Boma.

I as well would recommend Marrakesh. We were pleasantly surprised by the food and entertainment. Plus in my eyes you just can't go wrong with Baklava. K, so I'm a bit of a dessert freak.

Happy decision making!

haven't been to the new Tusker House yet, but we loved the old one. I hear the new menu is sort of like Boma light

I love Restaurant Marakesh. We had a 12:45 ADR and at 12:55, there was live music and a belly dancer.

We always have lunch at Marrakesh! They almost always have a Chef's Special that is a sampling of some of their best dishes, even my picky eaters love it. :king:

We always manage to be there for the belly dancing. I love the tile work and decor and the mint iced tea.

Like several other posters have said already, Tutto Italia was less than impressive.

While the meal wasn't horrible, it just wasn't up to the same standards as the other restaurants we ate at during our last trip. Service was hit and miss, and the food was decent.... not great, not horrible, just ok.

I would say to someone on the free dining plan (or even the paid one if they REALLY wanted to try it) to go ahead if need be. But if you are paying out of pocket, definetely check out another restaurant.
