Reservation expansion

Resort guests are what 20% of the gate right? Not only that, who do you think is most likely to have a dining reservation? Shouldn’t be a hard group to predict.
20%? seriously? Theres 36k hotel rooms at WDW..............36k x 4 per room = 144,000 per day if fully booked and all go to the parks

parks average 160k people a day...................

iit's WAY more than 20%...........

I'm curious, why are you using 100% on the first set of figures, and 50% on the second?

Google says 250k daily attendance, Not every room is ever full and I bet the average guests in a room is somewhere from 2-3 guests per room and while a vast majority go to the parks I would bet it’s only 90-95%. Therefore let’s fudge it to 64k resort guests which is 25%

I would guess that a decent percentage of people on longer stays either have non-park days mixed in or head up I-4 for some of the days.

DVC members are already a sunk cost. I imagine it will be cash paying resort guests that will get priority. AP and DVC will continually get marginalized going forward. Disney has found that new customer acquisition is so much cheaper than retaining customers. For every AP not renewing there is a cash paying customer waiting to take that slot. AP and DVC will be used more as a capping off and filler on lighter days.
quite opposite.........DVC isnt a sunk cost............Its a guaranteed return............and these are the people that spend the most

But to the tune of 10,000 more people a day at MK? The culture hasn't changed that severely.

Magic Kingdom attendance has remained relatively flat over the past few years. There was a "boom" post recession, but then it essentially leveled out.

It was at 20.5 million in 2015 and 21.2 million in 2021, which isn't much beyond what you'd expect from general population growth.

You're welcome to disagree with me. I am aware of plans that are forthcoming and I can see how pieces of those plans can lead people to incorrect conclusions, as the one suggested here in this thread.

I do disagree....not trying to be controversial, just know that they are trying to monetize it

This is so frustrating. I bought a park hopper pass a few months ago and had come to terms with the 2pm time (which I hate, but, learning to live with). My last 3 trips (2016, 2018, and 2019) I used park hopper every single day, similarly to how another poster mentioned. Early EMH hours meant heading to X park for the extra hours, then another park for the day, then to one for Extra evening hours if we weren't already exhausted. Or, spending a few hours at DHS for example, then heading to Epcot for lunch, but then back to DHS for more rides, etc. I took advantage of the park hopper and I was very happy to do so! Now this just sounds very complicated. Hoping this rumor is not true...

I believe it's actually around 3.5 and they aren't 100% booked throughout the year. Nonetheless, as I said, it's safe to assume at any given time that approx. 1/3 of the guests on property are on a resort reservation.

Make a friendly bet?

they are as part of park hopping
As I've said, the information regarding this is incorrect and misguided. Sure, bet.
