So, with 6 weeks until EPCOT reopens, any chance Rat opens then? Or is Aug/Sept more realistic? Seems opening it right when EPCOT reopens could draw some serious crowds (which I would think they would be wanting to avoid... At least right at the beginning)

Would they even want to draw massive crowds to Epcot? I’m curious about this as well. With limited capacity the whole park could pile into France.

I'm just guessing from other experiences. I haven't a clue what they require down there. But since it's a lot of customer/guest experience then I would expect the HR piece to be huge.

It was around 10 weeks away give or take when the parks closed. And that was with the staff available for training.

EPCOT seems the best park to push people towards. I assume it will be the last one to reach capacity every day the reservation system is open. RAT could help it reach capacity much more often if it were to open and might even allow other parks to not reach capacity on certain days. On top of that, simply make a boarding group system for RAT to spread out the crowds.

It was around nine weeks away from opening when work stopped. So it depends when work restarts, how fast it goes, and how and when training happens and with whom.

I don't know how project work is done at WDW so apologies if this is a dumb question. I wondered if with all projects delayed due to COVID they would prioritize certain projects based on how close to being done or a desired open date and assign/divert resources from other projects to shorten that 9 weeks lead time.

Disney is not the general contractor so they cannot move people between other companies and the trades working on other projects are not the ones doing finishing work or ride commissioning.

I wasn’t going to say there may not be a festival this year. And typically it may be the year I’m stuck over here.
