Looks practically ready to go, doesn’t it?
The working assumption was that we were 10-12 weeks from opening on the day they closed the parks. If construction resumes in June at the earliest, this expansion and Rat can still open this year. I just don't about summer even though it looks done already.
There's still some scaffolding up, and some buildings still look like they need aging/weathering.Looks practically ready to go, doesn’t it?
Open it up on opening day of Food and WineIf construction resumes in June at the earliest, this expansion and Rat can still open this year. I just don't about summer even though it looks done already.
They can cut that in half. All workers from Tron and Cosmic Rewind should prioritize this to open first, just like what they did with Galaxy's Edge where Runaway Railways workers were asked to help Galaxy's Edge. The working assumption was that we were 10-12 weeks from opening on the day they closed the parks.
Disney can’t move employees from one company and make them work for another. Different parts of construction are done by different people with different skills. Imagineers who work on final installation are not the same people hanging drywall or exterior metal panels. They can cut that in half. The biggest issue Rat will face in the short term is cast. They can cut that in half. All workers from Tron and Cosmic Rewind should prioritize this to open first, just like what they did with Galaxy's Edge where Runaway Railways workers were asked to help Galaxy's Edge.
There are 43,000 furloughed cast members to pick from. The biggest issue Rat will face in the short term is cast.
Don’t you think if it was that simple they would? There are 43,000 furloughed cast members to pick from.
Yeah, when I was in Disneyland Paris in February, we spoke to CMs who were set to travel to Orlando to begin training CMs for Rat ride. But obviously with the travel bans in place, that makes that impossible. Then the other thing people are not considering is that the cast that will be operating Rat will be Cultural Exchange Program participants... or at least should be if these were normal times. So still possible they could open with local CMs instead, but the training is a difficulty.Don’t you think if it was that simple they would?

just get some cast members dress in the uniform, say we we and it will be all good of. People just to ride the attraction.Don’t you think if it was that simple they would?
They had to train the employees in France without a team that had prior experience working the attraction. Not as ideal but doable.Couldn't they just use Zoom for the training?
jk
How long do you think it would take?Training can't be that hard, right? Lol

It typically takes 2-3 weeks for a new hire to be fully trained in their role, I don't see additional training taking longer than that. How long do you think it would take?

I'm more concerned about getting the supply chain back. It takes an unbelievable amount of food to operate the parks, meat shortages definitely have not helped.Exactly
