Thanksgiving day not only do the japan pavilion lights glitch out the globe was also delayed. It looks like the lasers are in, but can tell there not done yet.

Watched from the france/morocco meetngreet tonight. Definitely a great spot for laser viewing as the Mexico and Italy island lasers are very clear and in the main field of view. However the lasers appeared to be off / underperforming in the middle of the show. The "laser bounce fan" effect once the globe makes it out to the middle of the lagoon was clearly seen from the italy island... But half of the fan was a scrambled mess.

Also, the "ceiling fan" effect after the twinkling pavilions crescendo was MIA (or woefully underpowered) from this location tonight. Heh, hope they get the kinks worked out soon because when both those lasers are on... THEY ARE ON. Oh and the tag was fantastic except that the wind changed direction and brought the ash to us :-/

While the finale doesn't seem as "chest thumping" as in previous years, it has this awesome "IMAX" fireworks effect where all you can see up/right/left/down is explosions. Amazing!

The 'France' error wasn't corrected, AA cut out again, and one of the island lasers didn't activate till halfway through. Nonetheless these lasers are still visibly A LOT better; it adds something extra that was missing, as everyone around me kept mentioning that the show is better looking then they've seen it in a long time.

Belive it or not, Paradise Bay at DCA is almost as filthy as Showcase Lagoon.

Not that anything like WOC is coming to Epcot for the foreseeable.
All that oil from the WoC fire scenes, right?

With that in mind, I don't see why we can't at least have a few barges with that type of grid on it. Isn't that what Rivers of Light in DAK is going to be?

I doubt the France error will be corrected, unless they can figure out a way to rerecord the whole thing? Or have the "FROM FRANCE" line spliced in??

Really? I thought they installed a huge filtration system for the show?

The main mist screens are ran from water lines fed from pumps the lagoon.. but all the main platform fountains have intakes right there in the lagoon. The water is treated, but isn't like pool water, etc. Its quite filthy as evident anytime the platform is raised above the water line.. the entire thing is coated in mud/muck... much like the F! gear is in the RoA. The water at times also has huge blooms of growth in it too. The water isn't a runoff pond, but isn't scrubbed fully.

I have a feeling it might be till next season till it's fixed. They still shine the lights on at the proper time during the French phrase, so it seems as if they have programmed around the error for now.
It also seems like there isn't a large enough gap in the narration, though. It's a little awkward how fast she goes in the first place.

I've just uploaded a slightly over-exposed version. It blows out the pyro a bit, but gives a bit more of a look at the lasers.

We shot this on manual exposure, it looks very close to in-person.

Watched the video again... Does the Earth Barge close up and STAY LIT after the show? Please say yes. Great opportunity just to watch THAT and focus on it.

It appears that way. Also noticed that the pavilions seem to "shimmer" a bit now once the LoW music begins playing. In that video, you can just see for a few seconds the lights on Italy and France fade and brighten at intervals. I know in previous years the pavilions and torches would remain lit for at least 30-45 after the show while the Lights of Winter music plays and the "Goodnight" message is projected onto SSE. Looks to be the same now only with additional tweaks.

And in case anyone was curious, below is what now happens after the regular show (from what I can remember).

The earth globe now closes and remains spinning through the end of Promise. Its lit by the LED lights on the barge so that it changes colors, and the three rotating spotlights also remain on through Promise (the screens are off however). The pavilions stay lit for longer after the show now as well, remaining on through the closing narration and even a few bars into Promise before fading to the regular non-show lighting. And the torches, and I think the syncrolights as well, amazingly remained on until the end of the Tapestry of Nations theme. Before they turned off after Promise. Kudos to whoever said they should keep them on for longer as it really keeps the atmosphere more festive as people make their way toward the exit.

YUP, exactly this. Now it appears like the pin lighting stays on with the syncros. I know last year that after PoE the syncros moved around a little bit and changed colors. It was lovely. Here's hoping they just keep EVERYTHING on... strobes, too!

Just to add, I seem to recall as Promise ends; the syncrolights rotate down and towards the center of the Lagoon as if to spotlight the Earth one last time.
They do. To complete the regular show the syncros now slowly tilt and fade out.

Full show from opening night of 2014 Peace on Earth. 1080p, so crank up the res.

After re-watching, I have to say, I really wish they'd reconsider the flashing laser on the AA during "Home" (9:06-9:38 on the video). I found it immensely distracting, and hadn't noticed it when watching the video on my phone. Just the stagnant lasers was much more powerful before, in my opinion. That moment in the show (9:06) for those who don't know, is when an astronaut in space looks at Earth and realizes we are all one, we all share the same "home". Extremely powerful moment, that - again in my opinion, doesn't need to be emphasized with a rave laser show.
