I dunno… i just see walls of people talking to “show ignored content”Okay so now it’s everyone except one making sense. Does that signify anything?
The CFTOD would be at that point entirely for show but they would have no legal ability to do anything. If the state were to ignore it, People can and would go to jail under contempt powers of the court. https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/402Let’s go with the idea that the federal courts rule in favor of Disney.
Wouldn’t “ignoring it” be a bit like sending alternate electors after 2020?
No one in RCID would listen to the CFTOD board, would they?
Subs, grinders, hoagies whatever you call em up North with different proteins and toppings is far superior but for FL sandwiches and where Publix are located points South , a foot long chicken tender sub with the fixings is good. To me it surely beats any sandwich I tried at WDW at 1/2 the price. Philly and South Jersey are king of various sandwiches in my opinion .Exactly how good are those chicken tenders?
What appears to be the northern most Publix is at 1640 Publix Wy, Stafford, VA 22554. A mere 3 hours from Philadelphia.
For this thread, a welcome derailment we call them hero sandwiches.Subs, grinders, hoagies whatever you call em up North with different proteins and toppings is far superior but for FL sandwiches and where Publix are located points South , a foot long chicken tender sub with the fixings is good. Exactly. No more Publix discussion. It's OT, you're making me hungry, and there are 3 within 5 min of me!

The governor and the state could just ignore the courts. There really is no mechanism to force a state to follow a court ruling. A federal court ruling entirely in Disney’s favor doesn’t force the legislature to change state laws. It wouldn’t make the laws go away. The laws would still exist but be unenforceable, and enforcement is something handled entirely by the state. Following court orders is very much something done voluntarily out of respect for the rule of law. It is something that a state could ignore and it would very much create a constitutional crisis.
McCulloch v. Maryland says otherwise.
I'm afraid this might be a violation , but in light of the recent arguments posters may want to take the time to watch it.
Like any other mom: go to the bathroom, lock the door, and pretend not to hear the kids?So how does @The Mom reprimand herself?

Well they could ignore a ruling but the new board would have no actual authority to do anything. I assume Disney just ignores them and continues to deal directly with the real RCID board. It would get interesting to see how the Fire Department or other employees of the district would respond if there were 2 competing boards attempting to give them orders. Ultimately the new board would have no mechanism to enforce their fines, stop or delay development or sell off or use district lands for anything. Their powers around inspections and development would be gone too. I would also assume they would no longer be authorized to spend district funds on stuff like lawyers and consultants.“John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it!”

I think the FD would probably take their orders from the people who actually have money to pay them with.Well they could ignore a ruling but the board would have no actual authority to do anything.
