It's funny Disney was good to go with just the developer agreement, but then the gov pushed back and now they want relief on the whole board takeover as well. lol
No, I read the filing. They are not asking for RCID to be reinstated, just that the contract they entered into not be voided (and no more future retaliation).

Edit: this might be wrong, they asked for 4b and 9c legislative bills to be voided. Is one of those the bills that enacted the CFTOD?

The real difference is your support for someone who does what Xi does.
I LOVE IT when the pens win the game…

No, I read the filing. They are not asking for RCID to be reinstated, just that the contract they entered into not be voided (and no more future retaliation).

From the filing:

F. Declare that Senate Bill 4C and House Bill 9B are unlawful and
unenforceable because they were enacted in retaliation for Disney’s political speech in violation of the First Amendment;
G. Issue an order enjoining Defendants from enforcing the Legislative Declaration;
H. Issue an order enjoining Defendants from enforcing Senate Bill 4C

If Senate Bill 4C and House Bill 9B are unlawful and unenforceable, doesn't that put us back to the 2021 status quo?

I almost added this to my post but second guessed it because so many conservatives no longer uphold conservative values. Based on ideology I 100% agree, I just don’t have much faith anymore that ideology and doing the right thing will override politics.
Agreed for more recent appointees, but there are a lot of Federal judges that go back pretty far who are real conservatives.

We are getting way off topic though. China's offenses are not for this thread, other than many businesses like Disney overlook their offenses because "money." But again, this doesn't really help to move this particular conversation along, as we all should be aware of those issues...

Are you comparing the UK's OSA to free speech suppression?

I see what you're getting at. The difference is that the Uyghurs in the concentration camps run by folks Disney made sure to credit in Mulan don't get to file a lawsuit to defend themselves like Disney does.
Unfortunately people in China are not bound by protections in the US Constitution. Disney’s crime in your view in China is ultimately chasing money within the bounds of the government of country in which they operate.

Florida’s crime, Disney alleges, is changing the rules on them outside of the bounds of their constitutional rights in the United States of America.

Feel free to refute any of that, or continue your campaign of whataboutism. It’s a free country after all.
