Long time lurker here, but had to register to post because there isn’t much discussion elsewhere. As a Florida resident living right next to magic kingdom, this stuff is absolutely EXHAUSTING. We have a lot of real problems affecting people in this state, and this is how this clown decides to spend his time. Well, this and flying around the country on his “totally not running for president” book tour.

Maybe the people who are flooded should say something against him and get his attention.

Apparently its the only way.

The EPCOT monorail line literally just stranded guests for over an hour this morning. The monorails are held together by duct tape and paperclips at this point.

Hey! Remember the time the doors just flung open while in motion?

Some additional oversight might be nice.

Yeah, let's not mention that there was a massive power failure in the area at the time due to storms.

Right?

To add to this…..as parts of the state is underwater and the insurance market collapses this is how he spends his time in his first return to the state in weeks. Great leadership.

Is that what caused the doors to fling open while the monorail was in motion? Or the crumbling pylon in World Nature?

Or really the myriad of other problems facing the monorail system?

Put your political biases aside. The monorails need some work, and I would welcome state oversight, even under these circumstances.

The speakers he's had to follow-up on his speech are all admitting that this is all pure retaliation against Disney for having a "woke" ideology. By Disney promoting inclusiveness in its parks and in its media.

This is really frightening stuff.
If/when any of this goes to court, How much of this so called speech can be used as evidence against De......./Floriduh?

DeSantis did specifically mention that the board’s lawyers believe there is a legal issue regarding the notice being mailed to affected property owners.

If true, that is bad news.

He also mentioned there being an issue with conflict of interest, but that’s not going to work.

Im not a lawyer, but I think Disneys lawyers can put whatever they’d like in discovery as evidence of whatever number of things they could be claiming
Would have to think the retaliation aspect of this will play heavily in a legal case. Of course discovery and admissible evidence are two different things. But you'd have to think this would be germane to any lawsuit.
