Can you show me how CFTOD has improved the district? So much discussion how Disney is being punished by the CFTOD. So it has been almost one year, Can some please supply me with a list of all the projects that the CFTOD has interfered with. What demands they have made that Disney has had to change their plans???
I would be curious to see a list like this as well. Not sure it exists, but maybe someone here can provide something. So much discussion how Disney is being punished by the CFTOD. The ability of the CFTOD to interfere with Disney has been greatly hampered by the contract the RCID board made with Disney before they were replaced. The CFTOD now has very little power left. And that's why the state legislature tried to undo the contract through legislative fiat (normally an unconstitutional thing to do) and why the CFTOD is suing Disney (but if the legislature took care of it... what's there to sue about? Hmm?).So much discussion how Disney is being punished by the CFTOD. So it has been almost one year, Can some please supply me with a list of all the projects that the CFTOD has interfered with. It's an oversight district, not an improvement district. Can you show me how CFTOD has improved the district?

Only in name... the district OWNS the responsibilities. They are not an auditor. It's an oversight district, not an improvement district.
It replaced RCID in name only so it is literally still an improvement district. It's an oversight district, not an improvement district.
Gotta mention this - at Epcot, the hot mint tea in Morocco is by far the best thing to have on a rare Florida cold day.Shakshouka versions in Morocco and Turkey are first rate.
Only in name. The legislation didn't change the mission of the district. It's an oversight district, not an improvement district.

"When they tell you who they are, believe them."Only in name. The legislation didn't change the mission of the district.
In what manner does the district have the ability to oversee tourism? What exactly are their oversight responsibilities?"When they tell you who they are, believe them."
Calling themselves the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District was no accident. They told you exactly what they intend to do. The only misnomer is including Central Florida, since WDW is the only tourism being overseen.
I would call that more of an aspirational goal for them. Changing the name does not override the legal documents that form the district."When they tell you who they are, believe them."

Uh... yeah. The falsehood of being a Tourist Oversight District for all of Central Florida was sloganeering to hide the fact they have no concern for the needs of WDW's district."When they tell you who they are, believe them."

Also, that contract was so out of balance with the local market that the District ended up renegotiating the deal due to the fallout of how it would negatively impact the surrounding area. How about negotiating a contract with the fire department that clearly wasn't on the same terms as the prior management wanted?
Did they? I didn't remember a new deal coming before the board? Also, that contract was so out of balance with the local market that the District ended up renegotiating the deal due to the fallout of how it would negatively impact the surrounding area.
You’re the one who keeps telling us they can’t actually do the oversight they intended."When they tell you who they are, believe them."

Again, two things can be true at once. They can be tasked with "oversight" (i.e. screwing with Disney in a vain attempt to get them to back off DEI) while ultimately being incapable of doing so effectively. You’re the one who keeps telling us they can’t actually do the oversight they intended.
Who gets to decide that "Central Florida" and not "Oversight" is the lie? What makes one part of the name more genuine then the rest? The entire "Central Florida Tourism Oversight" is false and misleading based on the establishing legislation. The "District" part is at least correct."When they tell you who they are, believe them."
