Lately I've noticed that certain members seem to think that this website/forum is some sort of profit generating "business" and Steve is reaping financial rewards with every post! Therefore, we are all "customers" who are somehow purchasing a product, so deserve to be treated as such. These people think everyone should be treated exactly the same, and complaints about "service" should be rectified immediately, and even refunds or compensation of some sort should be given.

They also view the moderators as some sort of employees who can be berated, reported, and fired for "incompetent" service!

People....THIS IS STEVE'S HOBBY!!! HE SET UP THIS WEBSITE/FORUM FOR FUN!!

Even with subscriptions from Premium Members, and some help from sponsors, I suspect he's still not getting enough to cover costs. (We haven't discussed this in a while) No one is getting "paid" around here...we're all here to have fun. And guess what? If Steve has to continue to provide bandwidth to gripers and instigators who do nothing but create problems by insulting the forum and many of the "contributing" members... not only those who contribute financially, but also with informative or entertaining posts...he just might shut it down...a lose/lose situation for everyone! :mad:

A little difference of opinion keeps things interesting; name calling makes everyone uncomfortable or angry.

So I, for one, would appreciate a little more civility around here! And here's a big
:kiss: for Steve for putting up with all of this crap!! I would have sent some of them to their rooms a lot earlier! ;) (Which might be the reason I'm not a Moderator)

well said mom:sohappy: alot of this bickering has made me not answer in any of these forums because I am afraid I will say something wrong and set someone off to yell at me so I read them and dont reply unless I feel it is important to because I cannot deal with the arguments anymore

I really appreciate the detailed info and history/knowledge that all the big Disney fans bring to these forums. Kind of feels like family (a family of Disney fans, old and young), but maybe we can do without the family feuds!!!! :hammer:

Maybe people should re-evalutate why they come here. I come to "talk Disney", and get de-stressed. It seems some people want to come here to start arguments. This is a forum, and people will have disagreements, but remember, there is a fine line between disagreements, and insults.

I don't want to get home from school, do my hours of homework, and then come on here and see fighting!

I think the individual parties know who they are, and should just chill-out.

Enjoy your time here! Because, you don't know how good you've got it, until it's gone! (Not that our time is "coming to an end", it's just like Marcia said, Steve doesn't have to take some of the crap that goes on here).
