Canada

This pavilion is probably the one with the least IP possibilities. So I figured I might as well go classic, with someone everyone loves. Even if he’s not the most safe character to be around.

how to be a canadian mountie.jpg

Re-Do: Expansion area, Northwest Mercantile (store) and World Showplace Pavilion (back area)

How to be a Canadian Mountie
----- (omnimover, similar to world of motion and unbuilt muppets ride)
----- (Our favorite accident-prone dog, who can stands on two legs. Pluto shows us how to become a Mountie, but the one problem is… he’s doing everything completely wrong. For one the Mounties main mode of transportation is not… a Moose. Similar to world of motion, narration-wise and the never built muppet movie ride, attraction-wise.)

The Northwest Mercantile

Exit store for the Goofy ride. Which is themed after a wooden cabin and a Mountie station. With pictures of Goofy throughout the store in different parts of Canada like climbing up Mt Logan.

Re-Do: Canada: Far and Wide (movie)

Deadpool ❤️'s Canada (movie)

A much different, funnier take on a tour of Canada, hosted by Marvel’s biggest foulmouth. His love for his home country truly reins... true in this 360 degree attraction. He may even love his country… too much.

Canadian-Lumberjack-Show_Full_22291.jpg

Re-Do: Kidcot Fun Stop and Expansion area (right side)

Jack and Jane’s

Lumberjack themed quick service, where the workers are all dressed in flannels and jeans. And the walls are adorned in axes and pictures of former Jacks and Janes. The establishment serves different poutines, meat pies and various maple treats.

Re-Do: Refreshment Port

Beaver Tails

Set inside a log cabin is the tastiest fried doughs that Canada has become synonymous with. Much like the quick service the cast members will be adorned in lumberjack and jane flannels.

I don't remember it, but they used to have Beavertails in Epcot. It must have been during the years when I didn't visit. Between childhood and adulthood.

Cool I got a place near my house that is similar called Blink's. The regular stuff looks good like strawberries and chocolate. But it gets a bit weird if you put hard items like candy cane on it. Same goes for ice creams, sure a pretzel, but who wants to bite something really solid when your drinking. Seems like a choking hazard.

Hmmm… what if we brought those back, and tossed in Pandatails and Deadpooltails as extra items for IP tie-ins? Call it “BeaverTails’ Re-Tailer” as the name of the shop, keeping the tie in to the local brand but also showing that this is a special Disney place.

I like it, maybe stay animal related with it though. Like Wolverine, Panda and Sasquatch.

Yeah, the implication of a “Deadpooltail” is too grotesque for a Disney park, especially as something edible sold to guests.

Alright;

The World of Color (Monstropolis/Grand Avenue + Animation Courtyard)

The name is chosen because while it does acknowledge that MI is still in the spirit of Jim Henson’s work, the new name is not only broad enough to include both MI and Henson’s work but also evoke Walt’s own Wonderful World of Color, and also reflect something specific about the art of cinema, something Disney themselves pioneered; Color. While yes it’s primarily internal or original IP, outside licenses such as Crayola and Capcom could show up in some form.

Jim Henson’s Masterpiece: Muppet-Vision 3D (restored to it’s former glory with some extra elements from the DCA version); the exit area is now a tribute to Jim Henson’s life and work, including clips from the likes of The Dark Crystal, TMNT, etc.

Mike’s Ride-and-go-Seek (Clone of the Tokyo attraction plus some extra features, replaces PizzaRizzo). Exit is an exhibit about the life and legacy of Ralph Eggleston, complete with some of his color scripts.

Tylor and the Door Chase (A door coaster, just as what’s proposed) Exit gift shop is called MIFT Employee Store, selling things like color script prints. The entrance also discusses the history of Disney Television Animation.

Contrast Mountain: Names for the idea of color contrasts, this enclosed river raft ride features Figment and Dreamfinder returning to help find the color in the volcano and release it. Sponsored by Crayola. Exit gift shop is named “Pigments of Your Imagination”.

The Color Wheel (A slow Ferris wheel themed to… well, a color wheel, that doubles as a dining option as well)

Muppet Labs Feat. Mega Man VR (Sponsored by Capcom) Translation of the “Rockman 11 VR” experience from Japan. Possible original experiences could be added later. There’s also other stuff to do, including a restaurant.

Capcom World (a sort of pavilion dedicated to Capcom’s history, with a meet and greet area and a shop at the end selling Capcom goods)

Streetmosphere: Flowers & Trees (Audio-animatronic trees come to life and play music)

There is also a Lego Store.

I really like the Jim Henson ideas. It seems very MGM studios-like, with the behind the scenes stuff. Which is what Disney should strive for more with Hollywood. The moviemaking stuff was very unique for the park and has gone by the wayside and has been lost over the years. Thanks to IP Iger.

Re-Do: Left Side of the Parking Lot

Future World

Every theme park should be given an expansion, especially the 3 newer ones. I would bring back the concepts of the past... about the future, but with more expansive buildings, similar to The Land building’s layout. Each would be big enough to house not only 1 or 2 attractions, but also a quick service or a table service as well. As for the right side of the parking lot, it would become a multi level parking garage to save space and free up land for the expansion. The garage would be themed to a futuristic city on the outside to blend in with the new area.

New Horizons pavilion

Themed after an ideal 1950’s style version of the future. Where we actually got flying cars and robot butlers and maids. The Mural for "The Prologue and The Promise" is on the walls, along with concept art from the original Horizons.

swimming.jpg

Horizons
----- (omnimover, similar to original version)
----- (A look at the future and what life may be like for us. It is the same in some aspects to the original, but different in many ways as well. The story will remain the same, but it will look more like a 1950’s retrofuture. The robots will all be new, since the old ones are now residents of World Discovery.)

FuturePort

A futuristic version of the classic automat concept. With this quick service version you first talk to a robot on a screen. Which is similar to the concept for the droid aboard the Halcyon Starcruiser. Afterwards they will give you a number to a specific compartment where you can pick up your meal. Each order is placed in their own compartment. Which looks like a baby blue microwave with a narrow window. Yours can be opened with the scan of your barcode, which is on your receipt and phone.

I don't know if it counts mainly because that it hasn't happened yet but let's be honest, who in this community wants the Magic Kingdom Frontierland to become what it's becoming? I don't love the Rivers of America but it's an icon in the Disney parks and it feels almost like treachery to remove it. Also, even though Frontierland is staying, almost every part of the land is gonna change too, we already had the re-themes to Country Bear and Splash Mountain, and Big Thunder is set to see a huge refurbishment soon.

1. Yeet the Cars land out of the Rivers of America and move it either behind Big Thunder or just place it in DHS. It's probably better for that park anyways because the Cars land could possibly bring some much needed flat rides to that park.

2. The current location of the Country Bear Jamboree would be home to a Muppets musical show, giving them a new attraction/home.

3. I know that Splash Mountain has some controversy because of it's source material, so what if we got rid of the ride entirely. Replace it with maybe a new version of the Western River Expediton, it could possibly be Muppets oriented, adding the iconic Muppets whackiness and humor to the land.

4. The Big Thunder refurbishment seems to be for the better, just update the bat and some outside scenes, freshen up the trains, add the explosion finale from Disneyland into their, and smoothen the track a little and you have a recipe for greatness.

5. Maybe a couple new restaurants, retail stores, and maybe even a new water play area (similar to the one found at Grizzly Gulch) could be added to just add that little bit more to the land.

Side note: Keeping the Rivers of America could lead to a couple new expansion plots and future lands, these could include a Frontierland expansion, maybe a Discovery Bay type land, a Winnie the Pooh mini-land, and possibly a Hercules/Greek mythology land.

6. With the new expansion plots, this could lead to the possibility of a new Magic Kingdom train. I think the train could use a couple extra train stations, maybe one at Villians land and the Discovery Bay area I proposed. Along with new diorama scenes, it's crazy to me that WDW doesn't have Primevil World, and maybe a Villains scene could be some nice added bonuses.

7. For the Frontierland expansion, I think a Country Bear mini-land could work nicely. The Country Bear Jamboree would be moved over here, and put back in it's original state. New quick service and retail stores would be added along with a Racing themed dark ride for the Country Bear Jamboree.

Yeah, that would actually be pretty cool to see. I'm not a fan of the Cars Land idea either and would like to see anything that fits better. Ricky Gervais once said The Muppets could make anything better. You could put them in any movie and it would be better. That maybe the case with a lot of rides too.

Plus Statler and Waldorf would look great as Cowboys lol.

Mobile Suit Gundam F90: Last Grasp of the Titans

(Retheme and retrack of Men in Black Alien Attack)

Similar to how the F90 SNES game tackled the last remnants of Zeon, this theme park ride covers the last remnants of the Titans, now known as Neo-Oldsmobile as a perjorative name for their use of updated Mobile Weapons from the Titans (with some from Neo Zeon and the Sleeves also appropriated into their ranks), including Mass-produced versions of what were otherwise failed prototypes. Riders are, surprisingly, not placed into a Gundam, but rather in a Zaku-type unit known as a Geara Doga Kai; the ride being scaled as if the riders were themselves Mobile Suits; 1/12 the size of the real thing, while the vehicle itself represents a drop ship that deploys the units into battle. The scale is conveyed through the queue, where after the first part of it, you are “suited” into the Geara Doga with a set of monoeye-themed 3d glasses. The Gundam F90 itself appears as part of the ride’s story, appearing in animatronic form helping you fight off the last remnants of the Titans.

The ride has a similar speed to Alien Attack, with you cruising by scenes of enemy Mobile Weapons. These craft include the Marasai, Baund Doc, Ashimar, GM III, Galbaldy Beta, Gabthley, Bolinoak Sammahn, Capule, GM Quel, Guntank MK II, Gaplant, and Messala. The boss units encountered, however, are new; the first one being the Psyco Zeta Gundam, a massive new version of the Zeta Gundam. The second, however, is known as the Sazabi Monoceros, designed as a weapon against the Gundam Unicorn and a twisted reflection of it all the same. The ride’s light guns, uniquely, are more rifle-like, complete with feedback, and even have a “Smart Bomb” feature that can hit multiple targets at once.

Gunpla of the ride’s featured MS will also be available in the exit gift shop.

Whoa, this is the most unique idea I've ever heard of for a ride retheme.

You have me reminiscing about the past, when I was a kid in the 80's and 90's. I'm surprised you know about the SNES, I figured only old people like myself knew about it. I never heard of Mobile Suit Gundam, but it looks like something I used to watch when I was little called Voltron. I can still hear the music in my head when the robot transforms.

Space Pavilion

The interior is themed after what you would expect a spaceship would look like in the Alien franchise. If things were more cheery looking and there wasn’t a psychotic xenomorph running around. Instead roaming the hallways would be Valkyrie the Space Bot, she will be the host of this pavilion. A humanoid female robot that is able to do work that humans can and sometimes can’t do. Like cleaning solar panels or inspecting malfunctioning equipment outside the spacecraft.

b68998fb329c2accecdf7eb554dfade3.jpg

Mission: Mars
----- (omnimover, similar to spaceship earth)
----- (Gary Sinise is our narrator for our next space adventure. In it he tells us about Nasa astronauts and how they train for their jobs. Along the way animatronics show various training exercises they go through. Like International Space Station systems training, Extravehicular Activity skills training, Robotics skills training and Aircraft Flight readiness training. You will even get to take your own form of space travel thanks to a screen simulation. This part is similar to the former attraction, Mission to Mars and Mission: Space, without the possibility of vomiting. And last, but certainly not least the attraction shows what life might look like on Mars if humans settled on it. Using climate specific living quarters and planting techniques.)

Brava Centuari

A quick service aboard a space station. With photos of real life astronauts, space shuttles and rockets. This is brought to you in partnership with Nasa. Which would definitely allow their name to be used. Just for the Kennedy Space Center advertisements alone. Another great connection with Nasa would be the themed food. You can sample Astronaut favorites like Tang, Milky Ways and Moon Pies. They would be the official food and beverages of the Space pavilion.

Energy Pavilion

Looks like the Observatory and home of The Robinsons Family from the film “Meet the Robinsons.” An odd place to live for an odd family. They feel like a family of different variations of Jim Carrey, from the mother down to even the uncles and cousins. The joint is filled with random strange things like a one eyed octopus butler, robots and a singing frog band.

Meet the Robinsons: A Blast to the Past
----- (motion simulator, similar to back to the future)
----- (This attraction begins with Future Lewis showing his younger self and Wilbur his experiments and the benefits of energy. But things go off the rails when a new and thought to be improved bowler hat switches on. And he becomes evil just like the last version of it. It then does what evil hats always do and causes immense havoc. Taking one of the time-traveling devices and going back in time to the prehistoric era. So it can take over the planet as early as possible. Young Lewis and Wilbur decide to chase after it. While Future Lewis stays behind and warns them before they leave to be careful. And that the slightest changes could cause a ripple effect and really change history. Along the journey the older version narrates and teaches about the benefits of fossil fuels and other usable and even reusable energies.)

FzsTZbDaIAERkm5.jpg:large

future world 9.jpg

The Weird and Wonderful World of Energy
----- (traveling theater, similar to ellen’s energy adventure)
----- (Carl from “Meet the Robinsons” shows us how Renewable and Non-Renewable energy is being used to better humans lives. Like how water can be used for electric turbines and water mills. There is many examples for each shown with a narration similar to energy adventure. He will be more than just narrator though, appearing in several scenes throughout in physical form. As well as on screen when the attraction goes into theater mode.)

Monsanto’s

A table service restaurant where can eat in a futuristic home. Where the smart house is both self sufficient and provides all the things you may want or need. Many of the items in the home like the Televisions and Refrigerator and Stove are also intelligent and self sufficient. And you will even be able to hear them sometimes tell a joke or two, themed to appliances of course. Much like the 1st attraction it is really inspired by the film Back to the Future.

Screenshot%2B2014-11-19%2B14.46.33.png

The Frog Bar

Home to Frankie the Frog and his amphibious band. They play their biggest hits like “Give me the Simple Life” in a Frank Sinatra style show. You can take in the event from your own private booths and consume various types of alcoholic drinks and appetizers.

The Air Pavilion

Themed after the Planet Express building in Futurama, which is located in New New York. It is a company owned and operated by wise, but forgetful Professor Farnsworth. He doesn’t seem to care about the company at all and would close it if he could. It’s only reason for still existing is to finance all of his off-the-wall experiments. Things like alternate reality machines, makeup for dogs, a cool odometer and a pointy rock tied to a stick.

fut_wot_keyart-h_2017.jpg

Futurama: The Quest for Slurm
----- (motion simulator, similar to star tours)
----- (An air born pandemic has hit the future and there is only a limited amount of Slurm left. So Professor Farnsworth is having Bender deliver some across town. But unfortunately word is soon out that you have a large supply of the liquid gold. So the Slurm lovers are swiftly on your trail and they won’t stop until they get it. Ride wise it’s a lot like Star Tours, with a preshow that is more similar to Flight of Passage. During it the tactless professor degermifies his new volunteers without permission. Thankfully what he’s using smells like chocolate.)

bill nye 2.jpg

The Air We Breathe
----- (omnimover, similar to journey into imagination and living with the land)
----- (Bill Nye’s Great Grandson teaches the Futurama gang how the world is helping to clean the air and stop air pollution. Even in the future clean air is possible for human beings. By use things that clean the air like using public transportation and the very important natural resources around us like trees. Plants remove carbon dioxide from the air naturally, and trees store CO2 removed from the atmosphere by photosynthesis. Bill Nye IV gives examples on ways for regular people… and robots to help out as well even… in their own home.)

artworks-000124761511-9f4vl7-t500x500.jpg

Mister Roboto’s

A Futurama style table service similar to space 220. But with windows that look out onto a futuristic city with flying cars. If you plan to visit be sure to enjoy some delicious Slurm while you’re there. For even more fun the restaurant hosts a 1980’s themed karaoke night… with robots. Which 1 positive reviewer said “Is only awful most of the time.” while another was stunned at the… uniqueness of the show and exclaimed. “What the heck is this?”
