Quirky, cheesy, 1984 promo video...

That video is the best ... not one mention of the parks; five minutes of things to do without even getting to MK or EPCOT Center. This is back when Disney valued adults without children and actually marketed towards them. 1984 WDW; oh how I love thee.

Okay, I was with it until she looked directly into the camera and started singing in a voice that was clearly not her own. Creepy...

Wow. What a classy, serene vibe the resort had back then. Would I give up Tower of Terror, Splash Mountain, all my memories of PI, etc. to be able to go to the place in that video? I'm not sure, but given the chance, I'd have to consider it.

Quirky and cheesy video, yes... but I wish the company still presented WDW as a place that can be classy, relaxing, and romantic, and not just MAGIC AND TEACUPS AND PRINCESSES AND CHARACTERS HUGGING YOU ALL THE TIME!!!

That was amazing—thank you! What a different presentation of WDW from today.

Although I do wonder what verbal gymnastics were required to say "we've got the fifth largest navy in the world."

Also, was it just me, or was there something "off" about Goofy's voice? It just didn't seem "right."

I have to say, I miss some of the "classy" things that were shown in that video and it's emphasis on adults. Beats the images of some guy and lady running down the street at what used to be pleasure island or downtown disney.

Classy! Yes! I like all the artsy shots they put in the old videos, not just zooming in and out like numnuts the whole time, screaming at you like we are deaf. If it's not zooming in and out, it's stock footage from the 80s. I also like how they gave these videos a musical score, not just a bunch of stock music stitched together.

Did anyone else think they were totally ripping off "We are the World" or did "We are the World" secretly rip off this cheesy promotional Disney video. The words were even similar and I expected Stevie Wonder and Cyndi Lauper to appear at any minute. I did love seeing Dreamfinder and I agree the whole vibe of the world was different back then. I would have loved to experience it then.
