PUSH the Talking Trashcan's last day?

That's right the candy artist, Miyuki, left voluntarily. That was late November or early December (though reported on this forum today, she left Epcot at least 8 weeks ago). I asked her back in October where she was going next, and where can we see her. She was vague but she was planning to travel around the United States. She wants to see the USA! After 15+ years in the same spot in Epcot, it's a lovely spot but understandable to want new scenery.

So Miyuki was not cut, it was not a sudden thing, she's been making plans for some time. We could be seeing her candy art again someday (I hope) just maybe not in a Disney park. :)

Ziti Sisters on the other hand, don't know the story there. That sounds more sudden...

How can you say this, everything that happens at Walt Disney World is because someone wants a bigger bonus or yacht. I know this because I read it every day on this web site. You know Disney management is evil. Just Kidding.

Yes, surely PUSH just wants to travel the US as well.

No, but no one really knows if this is going to happen or why at this point. Still several people on this site are saying it is because unfair budget cuts to the Walt Disney World Budget. Let someone find out why it really is happening and than post that information. I for one do not want to see PUSH go away, but I am not going to rant about management until the facts are presented.

Between this and the two different World Showcase entertainers that were announced to be leaving this week (with no corresponding announcements of anything new taking their place), WDW sounds like it's cutting budgets and paring down. More fallout from the financial failure that is NextGen?

Perhaps it's NextGen but perhaps not. Don't discount the effects of the so-called Affordable Care Act. Businesses have to provide coverage to all Full Time Employees (defined as 30 hours a week or more). Companies, and not just Disney, are cutting back to keep operating.

Well this might be true with other companies, but Disney has already made 427 part time employees full time to qualify for the Affordable Care Act. See the attached article: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-...l-time-to-park-staff-as-obamacare-starts.html

Honestly, every time I go to Tomorrowland I look for PUSH because he's just so danged entertaining, he's hilarious, and amazingly polite for a trashcan {last monday he asked a castmember who was blocking his exit door "Excuse me, but could you hold the door for me ?" Naturally from a trashcan you'd expect it to talk tash, but nope, PUSH is actually pretty polite!}

Another time on this past monday he came across some trash about to be swept up, he 'looked' at the trash, then to the CM about to sweep it up, then back at the trash, then to the CM and asked "you gonna eat that ?"

If he goes, I'll be sad!

On the other hand, Disney is Laying off hundreds in the Interactive department - according to Reuters and Christian science Monitor !! It had to be paid for somewhere !!

The interactive department actually needed to trim that fat from what I've heard from many in the industry.

My point is Disney does a lot of things that I do not agree with, but not everything they do is just to be evil.

It's a shame they might subtract PUSH, but at the same time added in another new dance party.
I thank goodness I saw PUSH in January, if only for a few minutes this was about the third time I saw him and maybe the last.
On the other hand, that Incredibles dance party -- that TL stage area is one cursed half-acre of concrete. A new M&G, topiaries, planters, sidewalk chalk drawings, a bottled water cart, some Pixar Lego statues... really anything else please!
Ok even a Duffy M&G... just anything else.
