PUSH the Talking Trashcan's last day?

Between this and the two different World Showcase entertainers that were announced to be leaving this week (with no corresponding announcements of anything new taking their place), WDW sounds like it's cutting budgets and paring down. More fallout from the financial failure that is NextGen?

Probably someone will jump in here and talk about entertainment and My-Magic coming from two different budgets, which is true, but I wonder. When I was down at WDW recently, it certainly seemed as though Fastpass-Plus, at least, was adding some cast members to the schedule. First, to staff the "service centers" and also right now day guests get their Fastpass-Pluses directly from cast members, without touching a kiosk. Then at the attractions themselves, you need people to man the Mickey-Head-&-Checkpoint-Charlie stations -- two per ride. Maybe some of those people are just shifted from other jobs but it sure seemed like more staff. If that's the case you wonder if they feel the need to cut staff elsewhere.

I doubt. Mayazi announced that she has been wanting to leave and start up a store for months now. As for the Ziti Sisters I am assuming they wanna go home which I don't blame them after along time. I wonder if the issue is finding something Good to replace them.

This is absolute crap!
Last trip, I looked for Push everywhere, every time we were in Tomorrowland and I never got to meet him. And if its due to cost, then Disney are just complete tight fisted bottom holes!
Honestly, how much more can they cut back?! Ergh! Very sad and very mad.

That's right the candy artist, Miyuki, left voluntarily. That was late November or early December (though reported on this forum today, she left Epcot at least 8 weeks ago). I asked her back in October where she was going next, and where can we see her. She was vague but she was planning to travel around the United States. She wants to see the USA! After 15+ years in the same spot in Epcot, it's a lovely spot but understandable to want new scenery.

So Miyuki was not cut, it was not a sudden thing, she's been making plans for some time. We could be seeing her candy art again someday (I hope) just maybe not in a Disney park. :)

Ziti Sisters on the other hand, don't know the story there. That sounds more sudden...

The suddenness of it makes me wonder if there is some sort of family situation that has come up.

I believe you when you say that they have their reasons for leaving, but with its vast wealth and resources I believe that WDW could replace them easily if it wanted to. I just don't trust Disney to "giveth" as well as "taketh away" anymore...

Correct. I am defending them leaving hoping for better reason then disney cutting budget, but I agree that I am not sure if/when Disney will have a replacement.

Someone on another forum said he had it confirmed to him by management PUSH is leaving... No reason was given to him as to why they decided to remove PUSH...

:( They never even made a pin of him. Whether they own the character/device or not, anything that has been on several continents and was there for well over a decade deserves at least a pin. Wall-E is not going to like them going after waste management personnel.

Well we all know the reason, but there are still people with blinders on who refuse to see the truth... Disney is removing those small thing which made Disney Disney... Continued removal of the small things will make Disney just a tad above Six Flags... :)

Sadly yes, It was always FUN to look for PUSH in TL.

Well, maybe someone can get a video of his last performance in Tomorrowland, and hopefully the creative people behind the scenes find other avenues for the character to explore away from Disney World. It was a cute idea, and made a lot of kids (and yes, even adults) smile.

I hate to ruin the "magic" but the Ziti Sisters aren't really sisters or italian, well some of them might be Italian I don't know. But the Ziti Sisters were characters for a show, not a real family. Disney cut them because the budget wasn't large enough to keep them and the Frozen meet and greet. Their show is ending at the end of the month.

The Ziti Sisters where the ones I was unsure of. I will be honest and say I never heard of them or stopped to watch them in my recent trips to Disney. (So your not ruining any magic :D).
