Priciest Place on Earth

Some don’t think twice about paying more and more for items for everyday living but if it’s WDW , that raises red flags.
I think it's the sentimental part of it. They "used" to be able to do xyz at Disney back in the day . So everything is filtered to the lens if that magical time.
I giggle though at the "hate" for lack of a better word when folks say they Still think it's worth it.
Lol someone just told me in this thread that I waste my money because I chose to stay on site. Go figure

WDW is not the only place where people pay more but at times receive less. I find it ironic that some just lose their minds because its WDW doing this. Don't like it, go elsewhere and someone else will gladly take your money.

You are so right on. I crack up at the people who appear to get physically angry because - wait for it - a ton of people still actually love WDW! Oh, the horror! LOL!

Some also wish the company to fail, trying to convince others , doesn't seem that way when Chapek and Christine report successes on a quarterly basis to Wall Street.

Give me a break.............
What's the point in even talking to childish people like you who bury their heads in the sand.

I love WDW, God forbid I criticize the obvious flaws in its system and treatment of its loyal fans.

Typical........
Newsflash for you, child. Just because someone sees something differently than you, that doesn’t mean they are burying their head in the sand. I have read your constant whining and complaining and I simply don’t have the same problems with what you are crying about. And judging by the crowd sizes, neither do countless other people. Something is not an obvious flaw just because you say it is. For example, I absolutely love the paid “fast pass” system and I know many others who feel the same way. You just can’t stand the fact that, despite your whining, WDW is chuck full of people on a daily basis, most having the times of their lives.

And spare me the idea that you are an WDW-lover who simply wants to have some honest discussion about the state of WDW. If that’s truly what you want, maybe try leaving the condescension at home - you know, like when you accuse other people of being “pixie dusters” and burying their heads in the sand just because they don’t agree with your view, etc.

Why? (Not sarcasm, legit question.)
I like being able to more precisely pick a specific time than the old system seemed to allow, at least in my experience with it. I also understand that some people won’t pay the cost so it makes it a bit easier for those of us who will to land a preferred time.

How do you precisely pick a more specific time? We bought Rise for a window at 1:05 and were confirmed for 3:40. The same thing happened with Genie+ for SDD - we didn’t get the time we chose.

Not really sure, I haven’t experienced that. I have only seen LL purchases made for a particular time and the time selected was the time ridden.

It happened to us, and Disney got an earful (pun intended) about it. This type of problem has been widely reported in the Genie+ thread so I know it wasn’t just something we were doing wrong.

It's a great reason.......right?
Oh, so now you are going to tell other people if their reasons for liking something are legitimate? 🤣🤣🤣

I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but your constant whining about the fact that you can no longer afford a WDW vacation was actually a better look for you.

I assumed that you can’t afford WDW because of your constant crying about the costs. If I was wrong about that, then I was wrong. Of course, you actually just proved my point when you yet again whined about now having to pay for “fast passes.” You see, the new system and old system are not the same, save for costs, and there are multiple reasons why I prefer the new paid system. Seems like you can’t see past the money though, which again leads me to conclude…..
Paying more for less anywhere makes zero sense to me.
Simple.....this is not limited to WDW. My income has nothing to do with it. I have been to WDW dozens of times. Money is not the issue here. If you bothered to read my posts, intead of what you insuate, you would have realized this.

Enjoy paying more for less and convincing yourself that this is a good thing.

That definitely sucks! And they most certainly deserved to hear about it. I hope they did right by you to your satisfaction. If they didn’t, that’s just plain wrong.

It's because your reasons are not true to the system.....I bet you also love going online at 7am the day of.
Nevermind that you could get 3 fastpasses 30 days in advance, or 60 for FREE.
Ya that was aweful......so glad they changed it.

There really is one born every minute........
Therein lies your problem. It’s not more for less just because you say it is. I believe that I’m paying more for more. If you don’t agree, that’s fine. Just count your pennies and vacation elsewhere. You see, your attitude on this topic is part of the very reason why I like the new system!

I liked legacy fastpass and hated fastpass+. I did like maxpass at DL and felt that was the best type of “pay for” system since you were paying for convenience but everyone in the park still had access to all of the same fastpasses.

I haven’t been since Genie / LL so I can’t comment. Honestly it sounds like it needs to cost more money so if I really want to ride Guardians I can without a lottery. Otherwise I’m paying $$ for the same roll of the dice that Fastpass+ was.

Yes, I prefer making my selections the day of as opposed to two months in advance. It’s actually much more convenient in my view. Are you seeing the pattern here? Just because YOU personally don’t like something, you think that’s how everybody else has to feel about it.

Four of our party of 6 were able to ride Rise even though the ride was delayed while we were on it. The other two were evacuated before the ride started so we went to guest services and got a refund (we needed to leave the park). Lots of long lines at guest services when we were there - not the best way to spend one’s time.

I hear what you’re saying and you make very fair points.
