When’s the last time you paid for a sit down meal for four at wdw?

A quick service one easily can run up to $80-$100 range in most locations…just saying
And that’s supposed to be alot? A family of 4 eating at houlihans on 17 in Bergen County will pay about the same. Stuff is expensive everywhere now. And that’s not including the markup for having a captive audience in one of the most popular tourist locations in the US.

Just making the point that $350 for 4 for a mix of meals at wdw isn’t an outlandish price at all

Is Disney by some decree only allowed to raise their prices according to inflation??
They can raise prices all they want. If you are raising prices to keep up with inflation, great. If you are blowing inflation out of the water, you had better offer a far superior product to justify it. Otherwise you will be seen as the bad guy and people will be mad. I would be first in line, singing their praises, if the Parks had been improved (because of the increases) to meet capacity. Unfortunately, all we have been left with is an inferior product at double the cost.

And I get that and it's a nice theory but the reality is simple, and it's what folks have been saying every time this rant comes up.
As long as people flood the gates they have no incentive to offer anything more so I just don't understand the mindset that Disney can only do XYZ or because I went when I was a kid they should only be doing ABC, it is too expensive.
Getting mad a company for doing that is pretty much ing in the wind, all that happens is you get covered in splashback.

Now personally I think the only hope is a recession and I feel bad about that because if we slip into a bad recession, a wdw vacation will be at thr bottom of folks worries. But a recession imo is the only thing that's going to effect attendance
Just my opinion.

Recessions have been an important price control/value backstop since wdw opened…you can plot them on a timeline and correlate when the “experience” was best in the years were it broke/rebounded.

Recession in the mid 70’s, early 80’s, early 90’s, dot.com/homeland security double dip, housing crash.

So that was consistent and affects wdw. But notice something about that timeline?
