Priciest Place on Earth

Four of our party of 6 were able to ride Rise even though the ride was delayed while we were on it. The other two were evacuated before the ride started so we went to guest services and got a refund (we needed to leave the park). Lots of long lines at guest services when we were there - not the best way to spend one’s time.
Yeah, that’s definitely not right. Sorry that happened to you guys.

Therein lies your problem. It’s not more for less just because you say it is. I believe that I’m paying more for more. If you don’t agree, that’s fine. Just count your pennies and vacation elsewhere. You see, your attitude on this topic is part of the very reason why I like the new system!
No really it is.....when something was free, and then you pay for almost the same thing....it becomes less.
In this case with Genie or LL. It's much worse.

Yes, I prefer making my selections the day of as opposed to two months in advance. It’s actually much more convenient in my view. Are you seeing the pattern here? Just because YOU personally don’t like something, you think that’s how everybody else has to feel about it.
Honestly.......
I get it now.....it all adds up.

Surprised you haven't said anything about the free parking in parks for many years that are no longer free... You can't hang that on Chapek. Because you know why? Guests have now accepted this and crying about it is not going to make the parking charge go away.

It goes on and on......every year they take away something and or add a fee to something else.
On top of raising gate prices......

However, free park parking was a long long time ago.

The new system is better for some and worse for others, depending on your circumstances and vacation preferences. There’s no sense in arguing or insulting other posters.
That’s been the very point I have been making throughout. Some people prefer the old way, and some people prefer the new way.

I used it twice and hated it both times. From what I’ve read on other threads, recent guest satisfaction scores have been the lowest in WDW’s history. The system may be better for some, but the general thinking (from insiders) is that changes are going to happen.

I’ve got an open mind for any changes they might make. Any word on what they could be?

They will happen.....
But people need to voice their concerns and provide feedback.

My bad I was referring to resort parking that was free for many years until 2018. Theme parks are charging more for guests to park closer to the main entrance and when walk by to get to our car that certain lot is full so guests do pay more to park closer to the ticket entrance.

Capping sales is a good start. That would fix a lot of the issues. Right now too many people have it. I still think they should have went the Universal route and made it express pass.

For my family the reason we don't see value anymore is how complex Disney has made it visit. I go to many parks across the country and out of all of them Disney is the most complex for guests to enjoy.

Yup, a lot of theme parks do this.
When they started the resorting parking fee, we just used our timeshare options in Orlando instead. Have not stayed on site since.

I gather the parking fee was a chapek fee, because DL has been doing it for years.

I agree, Express Pass allows multiple rides whenever you wish and as many times you wish., no booking phone nonsense.
