Yup sure do. www.texasbbqrub.com

You have the time and energy, but you may not have the desire. Like I said, if you can't back up a claim, don't bring the claim to the table. :p

I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings and caused a stir, I really didn't think anyone would get this upset over things. Kinda sensitive in here.

cheers

Regardless of me being lazy (won't argue that fact) I think if you read the thread you'll see others have sited sites that do exactly what I mentioned.

Disney would not have emailed us.

Incorrect. Disney did not email you. Would not would indicate that they refused to email you.
:)

Since you like analogies so much, f you bought a tshirt that said "I am perfect and you're not" from Amazon and the site said the order was completed, yet you hadn't received your item, would you wait indefinately for it to arrive, or would you call and ask where the item was? If they had cancelled the item, would you expect them to contact you?

It wouldn't bother me enough to post up on an internet forum. After all. It's just a t-shirt! A trivial object in the likes of our lives.

Face it. You got your feathers ruffled. You got on here and wanted everyone to feel sorry for you and give you feedback that you wanted to hear.

I don't feel it's necessary to give you the feedback you wanted, so now you have a problem with me.

That seems unnecessary.

Isn't it though.

The funny thing is that it seems perfectly acceptable for a steady stream of personal attacks to flow towards me in this thread.

I am the enemy simply because of my opinion, but nary have I insulted anyone.

Let's take a peek into detail here at what I've been called:

you've definately got the part of the Troll down pat:lol:

Hopefully Mr. Glamour shot

Dude...really...grow up.

less that desirable poster.

you are the only pitiful member

Interesting....

It wasn't so much that you disagreed dude...it was your attitude in how you presented your opinion.

It was just a dry comment. You know.... like Dr. Nigel Channing.

Jeez like I said earlier. Everyone is a bit sensitive over nothing. It's a t-shirt.

I find my attitude to be less offensive then that of others. Take a look at post #63. ;)

I'm done...EG out.

OP wasn't complaining about the t-shirt. He's complaining about the fact that Disney didn't have the common courtesy to send an e-mail, saying that his order was cancelled. The order should never have been able to be completed in the first place.

Yeah I'm still here...I won't deny it.

If it really is "just a t-shirt" why the incredibly smug initial response from you? Just curious? If it was so trivial was such a retort needed? Because the way you worded just screamed of someone wanting to start an argument.

I don't normally get into these sort of riffs...but oddly enough this one has gotten under my skin...methinks I may need food sooth me...

That's only speculation. Who knows, maybe the shirt was printed and the mistake was not realized until after the fact. Perhaps there is no system in place for these types of things.

Regardless, everything is speculation.

What matters in the end is that 1. he talked to someone in customer service with a phone call 2. they didn't take his money and run

I see this as a win. Weird stuff happens. Especially when you order something custom.

I really don't see this as a major issue. Like I said. Weird stuff happens

Like I said. It was just a dry question. A rhetorical question more than anything.

If you look, it was a reply to another poster... not the original poster. :)

I'm also trying to find out how that is a smug response. The word smug is associated with self glorification or self satisfaction. I never mentioned myself in the reply so I'm not sure how you can correlate my reply with the word smug :p

Eh, I don't see it as a major. But either way, if Disney realized the mistake after the print, an e-mail should have been sent regardless. I see it as a mere matter of respect for the customer. That's all I'm saying here.

WBC, it's really not a major issue. I'm just taking a stab in the dark here but it's probably more of an "attitude" that you seemed to have taken towards the OP and some of the other responses that's all. You both made valid points and in the end it's "Buyer Beware". But as i've said several times, he took issue with the whole "Order Completed" when it really was not completed portion of his transaction, that's all.

for their lack of customer service.

My son's 5th bday is coming up in three weeks. We're surprising him by taking him to Disney World. A week and a half ago my wife and I went online to the Disney site and made a Tshirt with Mickey on the front and the words "Today's my 5th Birthday" and on the back it said "and I'm going to Disney World". So we never get an email that the shirt has shipped. My wife checks the site and it says order completed, but no shipping info last week. She calls this AM and they say the order was cancelled because of the word "Disney" which they say is a copyright and that we can't use that word. They never sent an email explaining any of this. I don't know if the disneyshopping site is seperate but that's pretty poor. I'm going to see if we can get someone local to make the shirt.

It's pretty stupid for a Disney site not being able to use the word "Disney". Perhaps there are grammatical ways around it, however. What if you spelled it "Dinsey" or "Disny" or "Disnay"? Could they argue that  Technically there's no infringement on copyright because you are not using the name and you and your son know what the shirt actually means.

The initial attitude was brought forward from the OP to me. :p

I made a reply to someone else, and he comes back telling me that I haven't been here long enough.

Oh I don't know...I get the sneaking suspicion you're getting some smug self-satisfaction out of the responses you're received.

I could be wrong...but I'll stand by it.

The fact remains if a company is going to tell a customer a product is processed and shipped then in the event said order has to be canceled for any reason on the company's side it is just common courtesy to inform the consumer.

Whether it's "just a t-shirt" or a freaking Buick!
