Does anyone know if the queues for the disneyland version are the same as ours or similiar like we have 3 queues standby,Fastpass and single riders what do they have I know in order to exit the ride they have to walk up the stairs to go to the store?and does ours have a store also?

As far as I know DCA's will not have FP. Heres hoping single ride makes its way over.

Great review! looking forward to hearing more.

Welcome timetopretend, and thanks for the great report. We hope to hear more from you in the future. You did a great job of breaking down the experience, and I believe have left most of us very anxious to partake!

I thought it was a great review! I'm really excited for this ride - but I'm trying not to put my expectations too high, I don't want to be disappointed when I ride it!

Is there a gift shop upon exiting the ride - I'm assuming there is!?!

I have seen pictures up on another site though of the inside of the ride and queue area.

Me too. Part of it looks like a Toys R' Us, while the other part seems kinda dark. Not saying the que is bad, just what it looks like from the pictures. I'm sure it feels different when you're actually in line.

Hmm, apparently I can't say the name of the site they're at.

Thanks so much for the fabulously in depth report! I can't wait to hear even more about this ride as more information comes out...the pictures I saw online look *so* detailed, between them and the report I'm even more pumped for June!

haha see I have been so afraid about what I was allowed to say but now that you basically went really in depth and the previews are tomorrow. (counting down haha) I guess I am in the clear to talk about it too. Question, any difficulty playing for you? And also did you not love the effects when you got certain targets? Cuz I know I did haha

From another site:

So I was selected along with my children to go to DHS yesterday and ride on Toy Story Mania or rather Toy Story MIDWAY Mania as it is actually called in the ride. The ride is greater than my expectations and I let the marketing department know that as they interviewed me right after I got off the ride first go round. A lot of CM’s haven’t had a chance to ride it yet so they want to hear the guest experience. This ride is so great and everyone is going to love it!! So I would have snapped a few pictures but they said no photography and I do know one person got caught by the filming crew trying to snap a picture with a camera phone and they were asked to leave (silly kid!!). I was also interviewed by the Communications department for the clips that they send out internationally for the all the media outlets. I have to say the special effects are superb (we only got to see them in 2-D form yesterday since that is how they film for promos and commercial’s, etc.). The ride cars are adorable – only hold two people at a time; the fit is kind of tight as you have a lap bar that is snug against you then your shooter. The ride vehicles hold 2 people each but there are 4 people to a car back-to-back and 8 people to a whole ride. Every time we rode through it was a different experience; my DD and I went through 4 times and my DS’s rode through maybe 10 times. My DD was the youngest rider they have had yet as she is only 2 (almost 2.5). I would not recommend this ride to anyone younger as the effects are like your own personal tilt-a-whirl Disney style. The queuing area is so adorable as it is decorated with all the great things of your childhood and of course Mr. Potato Head!! There are stairs to get to the ride but handicapped guests have a separate entrance and the coolest ride car as it converts for a wheelchair to sit into it unless the guest can transfer. The shooter guns are a pull-string type that you have to pull-on while moving the gun around but you also have to make sure it fully goes back in to “re-load”. There are two tracks both of which were slightly different and you get different characters whether you ride in the front or the back of the car. I have to say that when you are waiting to board the ride you become the “toys” of Andy’s room.

Just a couple notes. The tilt-a-whirl motion she speaks of is actually a 3.2.1 countdown at the end of each game and then the cart spins very fast as it makes its way to the next game. Also, it seems as if the water / air effects will hit both people in the vehicle regardless of who hit the target.

First in line for the cast preview and it was great to do a quick walkthrough on the serpentine.

Yes, there is a place to eat in front of the attraction but no store when you walk out (yet).

The ride is very well executed and nerds will love the interactivity. That said, therein lies the ride's downfall. Like a video game, these things go stale very quick.

What I was most impressed with is the demo round right off the bat. Buzz darts in and out with his target that he's holding very quickly, while at the same time you are throwing slime balls at him. All in real time. Quite the programmers nightmare!

The ride vehicles require a very solid lapbar. Its hardcore. The bends turns are crazy. But they do slowdown if there is a line up.

Pics, video etc up soon!

Do I think its entertaining? Not really. Its like a cool video game you get, and are really excited, but play it and 'beat it' and then you are done with it. Its fun initially, and its somewhat kid friendly (those corners are tight!). But its not family oriented no matter how much pr spins it and its really just a competitive elaborate game. (so, there is def. a market for that, but again, not broad and entertaining).

Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate all the technical elements into making this behemoth work, but honestly, its just a tad nerdy.

I don't think the company really understands how to make an entertaining product anymore.

THat said, I'm probably the only bad review, a lot of fanboys will be ga ga over it.

Had lots of email comments into wdwmagic so far form the previews, overwhelming opinion is that its a sure fire winner.

The gameplay is excellent, the 3d elements make the shooting very intuitive and accurate.

Re-ridability is going to be very high, with the constantly changing conditions and desire to beat your score.
