We still have our robots!

This was like one of the best interactive ideas Disney has ever had!! I wish they'd create a new high tech version, with the technology that we have today.. It'd be awesome!

I also miss the little unique secrets that you used to be able to do not that many years ago: waking up Tinkerbell, finding the paintbrushes on the island, etc. I can't think of any more, but I remember that I used to research these and write them down for my DD so that we remembered to do them. I think they've gotten rid of all of these things now...

Are they broken or just made the show shorter?

They hacked the show to pieces a few years back. Cut out some songs, put the whole thing on PC lockdown.... very sad. Youtube it before say, 2013 to see the full show, and then now. Sad times.

You used to be able to go in and wake up Tinkerbell at the gift shop in the Castle and she would fly around the store. Right?

This thread makes me sad. I don't remember half of the things mentioned because I only went once when I was younger, but I do remember Toon Town ( I don't remember the name) and the sky ride. I was sad to see them gone the first time I took my daughter back in 2011. I think she would have enjoyed them.

Miss the old FP system. Now you have to stay up til midnight, 6 months in advance of your trip just to snag a FP. Who knows what their going to be doing in 6 months much less tomorrow...No thanks.

What's waking up Tinkerbell?

You used to be able to go into timkerbell's shop in fantasyland – now it's a princess shop that's connected to the Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boutique– and if you were the first person in the shop you would ask them if you could wake up Tinkerbell. They would give you a wand and tell you to say something and use the magic wand and then Tinkerbell would fly around the shop. (it was really just a bunch of little lights around the shop, but then Tinkerbell would show up on the TV screen above the cash register and wave at the kiddo.) my daughter used to love it!

And WDW selling Mr. Toad merch and playing "The Merrily Song" on the bus to Magic Kingdom just makes it worse somehow.

It's 60 days, not 6 months. I personally like it, but that might be because I like to plan things obsessively...

I miss EPCOT

Watched this and now literally crying.

Walt Disney Promised:

Agreed - it was truly an incredible cut of beef. The current offering is still pretty good, but not as perfect as before.

Sorry, but Walt Disney never said that. When Walt died, Epcot was supposed to be a real city. As such, it would never have new attractions and additional countries.
