"Why you stuck-up, half-witted, scruffy-looking nerf herder!
Do you know of any Indiana Jones or Muppets projects coming to the Disney-Pixar Studios?
Nothing that has been greenlit, last I heard. Haven't asked, really.
And the Pixar part is right, probably middle of next year.
I do have to say, although I'm a much more avid follower of WDWMAGIC, I've been visiting Screamscape on and off for a little over 2 years now, and I do have to say that I've found them to be quite accurate. Especially lately, they're usually one of the first to break stories, even if they are just rumors. But I do think Screamscape is earning some credibility? Yes - No?
please don't post that their taking out episode IV, V, and VI because i'm used to those episodes, i'm not used to 1,2, and 3
Now as far as Star Tours is concerned it would be cool to have 2 or 3 different destinations leaving the same "space port"...from and imaginer prospective I don't know how much more complicated this would be when doing regular maintence and calibrations.
Well, there are six (I think) simulators. Set each one to play a different film, and BAM! new destinations. They could make the choice of which simulator you are put in as just which vehicle is free or split the line to give people a choice, the downside being that some less popular films would be sparser.
If Disney continues to upgrade and expand MGM do they have enough space because it seems to me to be land locked because of the highway, parkinglot, and to the north another street with the epcot resort area?
Yep. There is room for a limited amount of expansion including the Hunchback theatre area and much of the Backlot Tour area. The Tour would be most likely to go.
While I have no idea. I could see Siemens being annoyed with all this extra stuff (the LAL kiosk, the wand) grafted onto THEIR advertisment and requesting Disney remove it.
And for those of you complaing about Universal's upkeep of Harry Potter. It really doesn't matter...The Harry Potter land could be complete six flags dog**** and people will still come in droves because they want to pretend there in the world of HP. Its the same reason people still go to Disneyworld sure the maintenance and quality of attractions ain't what it used to be but people are still coming. Most people don't know/care/understand the difference between c,d,e ticket attractions and why some attractions are good and others are not. They come in with no expectations.
Harry Potter is a HUGE franchise it is not a fad. It is much bigger than Pirates of the Caribbean, The Matrix, Narnia, and in some ways, Lord of the Rings. There are very few big name franchises that can compete with the Harry Potter franchise...and one of them is Star Wars.
and here comes the other scary part for disney, once people leave WDW even for a day to see Harry Potter they are going to see there is a whole other world out there of attractions, dinning, and entertainment throughout orlando. Where they can get better accomodations, better food, etc. for much cheaper than disney's overpriced mediocricity. This is going to have a major impact on the mouse do not fool yourselves. It will be up to Disney's upper echelon of management and the true talent of WDI to find big new ways to keep people from leaving property. Pixar and pirate overlays & year of a million free churros just ain't going to cut it anymore
where exactly is the old hunchback theter area?
