Are you talking about the DIS? They ran a Vox Populi which is just taking discards posts discussing the rumor. They are not running a story that this is happening.

I think it’s still in reference to ?? But it is hard to keep all the kids in their lanes 😉

Edit: wow...so hated I can’t even mention it?? You gotta respect that accomplishment 😂

Lose the land and the seas and you're left with only 3 of the opening day themes.

Communication
Transportation
Imagination

Epcot already lost energy, the future (Horizons), innovation (Communicore/Innoventions) and the body. Can you count the Play Pavilion as innovation? A stretch, but maybe. Not sure the theme of that one. And of course add space, which in my mind is a legitimate theme.

Losing some of the original themes already made the cohesiveness of Future World lacking, but without these two pavilions it just doesn't make sense. I find it very hard to believe Disney would do this (for many reasons), but specifically because it would completely redefine Future World.

Then again, they did it at Hollywood Studios with the entire backlot, and really impacted the theme of the park. So, it's possible. Crazy if they did it though.
I'm not sure that a complete redefinition of Future World is so unbelievable.

I was suspicious for a while that they were taking my permit images from here and reposing them instead of going through the public records themselves. I decide to test this by watermarking one, and proved that they were doing just that. I contacted the author and told them that I was fine with them using the image, they just had to credit me and WDWMagic. They just quietly switching the image to one of their own and never responded to my e-mail.
I remember you did manage to get credit for figuring out the Skyliner system using the permits. I still can't believe you got that out of them.

On a slightly related note, this is how I feel about people "finding" pictures from them and sharing them here. They won't credit this site, so why should we post their pictures and say "it's from the site that shall not be named". It's not any better then just spelling the site out. Users here should be better then to "borrow" stuff from their site but instead all they do is drive site visits up for them. But until there's a real rule in place here against sharing images from their site, I can't complain.

After a country was converted to a princess house from a fictitious land (even though now revisionist defense of the D says that it was - in fact - Norway 😳 ) and there’s a comic book coaster going in???

...yeah...I’d put it on the side of “believable”

They started getting pretty reliable, and now this. I cannot emphasize enough that I have heard the exact opposite of this so many times. Both are up for refurbs, but the fundamentals should not be changing. I expect some version of Living with the Land and some version of the Aquariums to be here in 2030. Additionally, there are so many things dependent on the pavilion (ex. The USDA hydroponics research) that a lot of bridges would have to be burned to close them down. This is a big swing, and a drastic miss.

It's interesting to know that the USDA/Academic partnerships are just more than show. I always assumed there was one or two piddly USDA lab techs working maybe once or twice a week there - is it a full blown partnership that really engages in substantive research? If so, that's really awesome and I'm glad to hear that.

You should have seen him when some of his events at DHS for Stage 89 were shutdown by Disney Security...

<Laugh Reacts only>

I wondered about a lot of his "events" and how he was going to manage to do those without official permission from Disney. Guess now we know.

He thinks he's entitled to be "Disney Media" just because he chooses to cover it. He can claim "WORLDWIDE LEADER IN DISNEY NEWS" all he wants but that doesn't get you media ...
Hasn't Disney, through ESPN, trademarked WORLDWIDE LEADER? Unless you could prove you were the actual world-wide leader, they could hit you with a cease & desist.

Aren’t their plenty of news organizations that use that exact wording? Maybe I’m wrong, they trademarked that actual phrase?

*Not standing up for that site but I’m just genuinely curious now.

I really hope this is a rumor! The Land is really the only true pavilion. The land has three attractions (when the theater returns) a back stage tour, a SUPER UNIQUE sit down restaurant (look ma, we're moving) that has a family buffet, an excellent counter service food court ( with soda refills) The only thing it doesn't have is a gift shop (also a plus, and I don't count that stuff they sell at the entrance of Sorin as a gift shop)

The Land is my favorite Pavilion.

And another reason why this rumor really fails: the fact that Awesome Planet is going right into the Land pavilion not long before 2024.

Actually going with such a simple add (no 3D or animatronics) bolsters the claim. I'd be surprised if one or the other pavilion doesn't get the GotG treatment. Possibly both eventually. IMO.
