Tom's approach to rumours is the equivalent of smelling smoke and calling 911 that the neighbours house is on fire (when really someone is just using their BBQ). Yes, there happens to be smoke, that's not a lie.

However, since he demands credit, I will again point out he was the only person I know of who heard any inkling whatsoever about the Hong Kong Expansion/Castle.

So I'm sure something eventually is up with those Pavilions... but WE already knew that here.

The Vox Populi should be "***** posts far-fetched armchair imagineering.... then gets mocked." This would be accurate, but old Jackie is a click bait artist herself.

I don't like Tom, but Jackie is just as bad. She has no journalistic integrity and pushing back to their own forums to source is her MO. No respect for her

You are misunderstanding. Those Vox Populi articles are not being used as sources as information they are articles about discussion taking place to draw traffic to the boards.

This is Disney news and rumors not CNN or the AP. Most of these people weren't in prestigious journalism programs or anything.

I thought you said Galaxy's Edge would be a flop?
You must have read the “invisible keystrokes” on that one...

I wondered out loud if there would be “as much” demand as was being speculated on boards Such as this? That’s a legit question...

But I also agreed/agree with Marty’s take: there probably won’t be a large attendance “boost” because mgm simply has no way to handle it. Because the whole thing has been so poorly planned. That is “being overrun”...by logistics

Wouldn’t “news” and “cnn or AP” imply vetted sourcing?

I understand what you’re saying...but it really only applies to “rumors”...which have no burden of fact nor any integrity whatsoever. They be so far “inside” that they’re all the way in outer space

The "Area" You mention would have been the spot for the Movie Themed ride which became The Great Movie ride...

As well as that specific piece of art was used as a model for the Hyperion Theater in DCA.

Maybe there is/was mention... I could have said Fantasmic was being demolished or Wonders pavilion would be removed. Both have been proposed as a left field option over the last five years. Perhaps this has been one too (though not that I’m aware of)
Oooh so that's why they've been holding out on a Fantasmic! refurb for so freakin long...and it doesn't seem like it's coming any time soon... :/
(obvious sarcasm but still....ugh)

I don't get why people hate Tom so much, yall jealous or something? Also don't pretend that you aren't pressed and not obsessed with him because there are 11 pages in this thread dedicated to talking smack about him.

11 pages on these boards is only a blip on the radar. Remember how many pages were dedicated to Disney charging a delivery fee on groceries?
Additionally, if anyone somehow was under the absurd impression this rumor actually had legs, the topic would deserve a much more significant level of engagement. I can see why the thread is generating interest.

This doesn't answer my question in the slightest. Thanks tho

It would have made complete sense to remove both...especially wonders of life....
The fact they are doing even anything in it now doesn’t make a lot of sense...which explains why it’s happening 🤪

The internet is rife with fake insiders who just get people whipped up.

I never believe anything (well documented) unless it makes sense from a financial/longterm standpoint. So nothing is “disappointing” to me.

But fake “reporters” get gobbled up by others who blab and spread it and it gives free publicity/covers up for a lot of the mistakes that they make in Casa de la dwarf.

In order to be anywhere close to the enjoyable place it was for most of 40 years, WDW needs another round of capital improvement in all four parks - after this stuff is done - to be planned and ready to go right now. 10 years of wasted time changed the fundamental reason why it was great.

And we ain’t getting any younger.

Fake bloggers mask that to a degree.

He’s egotistical, abrasive, and gets more wrong than right, leaving some with the feeling that his self-aggrandizement is unwarranted? He’s the polar opposite of our resident experts in every respect.
Not long ago, I was at Epcot standing in line for a stand when I overheard these two women behind me speaking so badly of him. I turned to my partner and was like - that's the clickbait website I tell you about! It made it "real" to overhear people in public bad-mouth him and his website.
