And it's offical, almosty 40% of the people taking this poll are morons.

Look, if you dont like a ride because it's "too intense" fine. Just ignor it!! But Disney needed thrill rides! Hence, why they built M:S and EE!

Please, no one cares if you think M:S should be torn down. Do you guys honestly think Disney would do that? They spent a quarter of a billion dollars on that ride!! I HIGHLY doubt they would just tear it down because people dont like it!

HEY! Don't be abusive! Everyone is entitled to their opinion! Don't get started on the wrong foot! :fork:

I say close it. It's too intense for a disney park.

If it it too intense in YOUR opinion, don't ride it.

I guess the RnRC, TOT, and EE are next?

While it is tragic that a few people have died from the ride, I don't think shutting it down it the answer.

Word has been out since it opened, that it was a very intense ride. But like Alien Encounter, people choose to ignore the warning signs, ride it, and then complain about it.

Granted, no one died from AE, but still.

What's next? No more airplanes?

Yeah! Close it! How dare they have exciting rides at WDW! We need more slow moving cart rides that show us what it will be like in the exciting future world of 1987! Kids love that stuff! They need to make Epcot like it used to be. Lots of slow, boring rides.:dazzle:

Keep Mission Space!!!

I would be very disappointed if they replace M:S, it is one of the unique attractions at Disney. I am deeply sorry for the families that have lost loved ones but I doubt it is the ride. A woman died on Universe of Energy a few years ago, and I don't think anyone can call that an intense ride. Just like some people don't want Disney to be all about thrill rides I don't want Disney to be all about slow moving ride through/dark rides. Rockin-RollerCoaster actually is more stressful to your body, I assume that should be closed too?

Disney needs a wide variety of attractions and unlike the too many hub and spoke rides M:S is not going to show up at your local church carnival.

Lest we forget, there is no reason for this fatality yet so it is a bit early to be plotting out any type of corrective action.

Leave it open.

Disney has 2 strikes.
3 strikes and you're out.

Disney has no stirkes. People who don't read and take warning signs seriously have 2 strikes. The ride stays open with no changes. If not, I'd be more than upset.

I'm just saying that if one more person dies after riding MS then I think they will close it. I don't care WHO'S fault it is.
It's only my opinion, but I think rider attendance will take a plunge after this incident and if that doesn't close the ride, one more death will.

I understand wait times for M:S yesterday werw 60 minutes or more?? What were they today??? After this busy weekend and after this really busy week what will they be??? That is the factor..

I read the same argument from the M:S supports.. READ THE WARNING SIGNS.. Same argument all the time... Let me spell it out for those that do not understand....

The warning signs are for those people who KNOW they have a medical condition... But what about the millions of people who have an undetected medical condition????? Do you just assume everyone knows they have something??? Remember, the 4 year old boy had a condition not even his doctor detected... If his doctor didn't know he had something, how was he, AT 4!!! to know he had a condition, or his mother knowing for that matter... So, the warning signs are not enough.... Disney has to do more to let their guests know just what they are in for....

for those that answered yes, im really curious if thats because you really enjoy the ride, or out of principle that wdw shouldnt close a ride for this reason?

I said yes because

1. It's a great attraction that combines thrills with a pretty good story.(I say pretty good cause they have done better).

2. It's one of my favorite attractions in WDW, let alone the world.

3. Responding to the tragedies that have happened, the ride cannot be blamed, so I say that I would be upset if it closed for those reasons.

It seems kind of wierd that a death happen again on the same ride. Not to mention the many people complaining about headaches after they got off .This ride in my opinion needs to get scrapped or chnaged or something .I don't think they should ignorwe these problems .
Know how many idiots have died on TTA?

I'd prefer it to close. I agree that it's too intense for Disney. More importantly....I don't like the ride. The scenese were beautiful but too intense. Everyone's entitled to their opinion and based on the metrics, it seems that we're split almost 50/50 on it. I think that's very high for such a new high profile ride. If you asked this question for Soarin/ToT/RNRC/PotC it would be like 90/10. It's highly doubtful that Disney will get rid of the ride as they've invested so much in it and hyped it. Maybe they'll slow it down or something. Who knows. All I know is I can't wait to go back and I will gladly walk past MS and go right to Test Track....which by the way is one of my favorites. Love when it goes outside. It's especially cool to ride it at night!

Keep M.S. open

Just figure out some way to let people know what will really happen once they get on, and let them decide for themselves if they want to ride.

This argument makes me laugh everytime someone says it. Would you really prefer more rides like Dumbo? Or even SSE(although it is a great attraction).

The truth is for Disney to stay ahead they have to build a mix of everything, intense and not intense. Saying that a ride is too intense for Disney is laughable at best.

I'm not trying to single you out individually, it's just I've seen this argument a few times now and everytime I almost hit the floor laughing.

^Agreed^

This is coming from some one who loved Horizons...KEEP IT! Face it, we will never have Horizons again. Beisdes M:S is amazing. You can't experience anything like it anywhere else. It is an intense ride for some(I don't find it to be), but this just shows that people do not pay attention to the warning signs. If you don't think you can handle it, don't ride it.

I predict that Dos Equis Diptheria will cancel all major sporting events except the World Darts championship in the spring of 2020.

The sad part is, M:S also has numerous audio/visual warnings throughout the queue too. Shows how oblivious people can be.

I don't see disney closing this ride any time soon and for good reason. First off they have invested tons of money into it. Second there is nothing wrong with it and its safe (as long as you follow the warnings). If anything Disney so make this ride more intense.
