Where can you get these 1/3 cost meals? The other side of I4 in Disney Springs is within pennies of Disney prices....192?536?

Lines too long were the issue for sure
Quick glance at Google and I see Texas Roadhouse nearby. I assume that’s one of the cheapest steak places. Looks like a NY strip steak with choice of side is $19.99+ (depending on many add-on choices, probably $25-30).

If compared with a pricier Disney option that’s around $60, I guess that’s about a third of the price. Quality? Debatable.

Close enough....wonder if price has dipped a bit in the past month or so?....but that jives with the OPs 1/3 take

Is that on 192? Back side of AK?

We still go, and our issue has ALWAYS been crowds! Crowds/lines weren't even a choice on the Poll!!
You can only put 10 choices and crowds seemed like a counterintuitive choice since the point of the poll is decreased attendance. Feel free to make another poll with options I missed though. Also wish I had put a separate option for DAS related issues and Genie+ (that kinda falls under “decreased perks” but it seems to be more important to people than other cuts, to the point of needing its own category.) Would have had to cut something though as, again, limit of 10.

Heard that….again, crowds were our reason to not force another trip until this Fall. We are both busy, but historically still squeezed in a couple more trips than this year….usually late May/Early June and again late July/early August.

It is tough to create a Poll that captures everything while simultaneously not having overlapping choices….most , not all comments on this thread have been cost driven….we’re in the Camp of willing to pay more for less crowds and thus hit Extended Evening/MNSSHP/MVMCP as well as the After Hours.

We hope the decreased crowds are sustained and thus we won’t have to buy the Hard Tickets….

One perk taken away that rarely gets mentioned was the Extended Evenings for ALL Disney Resort Guests. While that reclaimed Perk really bothered us initially, it is OBVIOUS the limitations of only including Deluxe Resorts made a huge difference as the crowds on those Extended Evenings are REALLY low! The old EME was BARELY worth attending when it was all encompassing…

I only picked one: Too many cuts to perks and overall quality.

I must admit they are starting to get better...starting that is. The parking fees I paid in 2022 are gone. Advance planning for rides again will be a good upgrade although it needs to be more than 7 days (why, because I want to know if I can have a good trip BEFORE I make final payment.) The dining plan is back but not as good as it was. They need to bring back package delivery to your resort. They need to bring back more of the park tours they had before COVID.

Still not planning a trip back yet though. The need to entice me more than they have so far. Hello Epic Universe and Portofino Bay hotel in 2025.
It's been 10pm so far this summer...with AK closing at 6.
WTH man.......

WDW used to be my favorite place on earth to visit. We used to go about 1 time for every year to year and a half, and I've been going for over 40 years. Last two visits the costs were horrendous. 4 combos for lunch or dinner at Cosmic Ray's cost about 70 dollars, and for cafeteria food. Value resorts are no longer a value. Last trip I stayed in a timeshare resort, paid right at 100 dollars a night, drove myself, and we had such a nice time. Didn't have to be squeezed into buses with other sweaty humans after walking miles during the day, had the ability to cook breakfast for ourselves, and we were near Kissimmee, so I could go to a chain steakhouse nearby for steaks and ample portions for 1/3 the cost of the same on property. We did go to Ohana, and while it cost 300 dollars for dinner for 4, we still enjoyed the experience. (Nostalgia from when my kids were young).

When it comes to offerings for the cost, compared to Eisner 's era, this iteration of Disney Parks is a rip off. Parks are dirty, all the perks are gone, and lightning lanes are a caste system meant to separate us more and more from our money. Burned out lights, poorly operating attractions, lines too long, over selling lightning lanes, and waiting an hour and a.half for Pirates due to the lightning lane nonsense.

Ultimately, I'm done until Iger is gone. I feel he's driving the Disney Company into the toilet, and if the company ends up sold, our once loved destination's day may be numbered.

WDW has become Las Vegas...overpriced, dirty, and meant to empty your pockets down to the lint. I long for the days of WDW TIps for today, Stacy, E ride nights, true extra magic hours, reasonably priced parties and restaurants. It makes me very sad to have written the things I did, but after years of loyalty and dedication to the brand, Iger is determined to show those of us not wealthy that he doesn't give a darn about us or our business. He wants WDW to be a playground for the wealthy. (Sorry for the rambling, but that was kind of cathartic)
Great ramble......
You nailed it......
We have also been going decades.
It's just too much lately......
Too much of everything

I agree on the costs… the thing that flummoxes me is why consumers aren’t pushing back more in other areas. Disney is bad but so are a ton of places, yet pricey trips seem to be at record highs this summer.

I have seen softening in areas that seemed to be “hot spots” for post Covid travel. The Jersey shore has sort of reset a little. Disney demand seems to be down. Wondering if these are “canary in the coal mine” signals that a hard landing is on the way.

We were at WDW the last 2 weeks.....
Crowds were DEFINETLY lower compared to last summer.
It was a lot easier to get around.

Now if they would only get rid of the virtual que for these older rides.
Especially the coasters.
If you're taking 2 week vacations at Disney, but still complaining, they don't care. You're still handing over money and that is all that matters.

All we do is buy tickets to get in.......
No resorts or food....

Believe it or not...there are OTHER things to do in Florida.........

Their bread and butter is in food and merch.....not really ticket sales.......
399 for 4 days....I'm not buying Iger a new boat with that....

Complaining is all part of the process......

You never complain about your sports team?.....or do you just stop watching until they make you happy?

I never understood the logic why people thingk you can't complain and go at the same time.

Many areas are softening for sure.....tons of deals at the ballpark, as well as Dining in both Fast Food and lower moderate sit down types.....

With Disney it comes down to numbers/volume....they had more peeps attending and taken their proportionate (fastball down the middle of the plate here) hit....

I quit going to the Atlanta Falcons games because there was so many things wrong and wasn't worth supporting.....I do still complain though....but not both.....and the Gate price would have to drop way lower than I can imagine before I'd return

Maybe just a car with your $399....he still squeezed a few $$ out.....

One point would be the "other" rarely mentioned option.....just not going to Disney......we tend to keep the $$ if we don't go to the World vs spending elsewhere

My children would disagree.....
And probably set my van on fire if we didn't go.

They don't notice the things we adults notice.

My point is....we can protest in other ways.

My views do not necessarily reflect my family's views......
The extreme joy on my kiddos faces for 4 days at 399 was totally worth it.

well said

Disney has done well to capture/instill some pixie dust in all of us and it manifests if different ways. This thread shows that in the embedded emotion in many's post....

While I'd tell you we just tap the Gate, keep our wallets closed, and cringe to think of peeps overspending $$$ on soft drinks, chips, ice cream, we STILL have to hit LeCellier out of nostalgia on many trips....
