Please, suggest some restaurants

So we're going to WDW in January for the weekend, and unfortunately it might be my last trip for a while...and it'll be hard to squeeze in everything I want to do in such little time.

However, in order to make this trip excellent, I need to book the ADRs (we have no DDR this time 'round :(), and I need some suggestions for restaurants. Some of my favorites are the Liberty Tree Tavern, Biergarten, Electric Umbrella, Tony's Italian Restaurant, 'Ohana, Kona, and Crystal Palace.

I've been planning to go back to the CP, and then the CR, but I've never had a meal there.

Also keep in mind their availability, because sadly I haven't gotten around to booking ADRs until now and the trip is in a month.

Thanks in advance!

I would try Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is such a great buffet. You can try some really awesome food. Also try the Plaza in MK. It usually isn't so busy that you can't get in.

You could always give the DHS restaurants a shot: Mama Melrose's, 50's Prime Time, Sci-Fi, and even the Brown Derby.

Perhaps some of the resort restaurants would be an idea for you as well?

We really, really loved Via Napoli when we were there in August....we only got a pizza but I am gonna tell ya right now that it was the BEST pizza we have had, other than the pizzaria we got pizza from every friday night when I lived in the Bronx....On our honeymoon we ate at Jiko and California Grill. Both were very nice (and the food was awesome) but for the money it was not worth it...If I had to suggest one place other than Via Napoli it would be O'Hana...which I know u said u have been before but it is definitely a place where u get what u pay for!

Raglan Road is a great choice. Good food and a fun atmosphere! We went to Teppan Edo for the first time in March and were able to get in without a reservation no problem. The meal was great. They have 2 sides - one is normal table service; the other hibachi style where they cook in front of you. Definitely worth a trip! We are looking forward to trying Via Napoli next week as we've read great things.

Good luck!

If being able to get ADRs is an issue, I enjoy the Turf Club. Not as "magically" themed as other Disney restaurants, but the food is very good, not terribly expensive, and it's walking/boating distance from DTD so it gives you an opportunity to go shopping in DTD (if that was something you were planning to do) but to also take a nice stroll or boat ride to a beautiful resort and have a (typically speaking and by Disney standards) quiet meal away from the crazy shopaholics :D

A hearty-fare option (and probably still the cheapest sit-down meal on property) is the Trails End buffet at Fort Wilderness. Also not typically too busy, you can spend a good chunk of the day at MK, then boat over to Fort Wilderness, if you go early you can explore the grounds (though it'll probably be pretty dark in January for dinner) enjoy your meal, and then go back to MK for a few more rides (especially if you plan around EMH)

It's been a while since I've eaten at the hibachi restaurant in Japan's pavilion but I remember enjoying it immensely. I also enjoyed Restaurant Marrakesh.

If you go to AK, consider their Finding Nemo "package." If you book lunch at Tusker House between 1 and 1:40, they will have special seating for you at their Finding Nemo stage show at 3:15. It's not any additional fee to do so.

Aaaaand another vote for Boma.

Please bear in mind, I'm not saying these are my absolute favorite restaurants, though I've enjoyed them all immensely (OK Boma is a big favorite of ours). I was trying to think of places that I not only think serve a nice meal, but you should have fewer problems getting ADRs. I still recommend them, but I know many people look for more elaborately-themed eateries.

Boma's this year was a pleasent surprise for the DWF and I. We also enjoyed the Tusker House for Lunch and highly reccomend Teppan Edo in Japan. Teppan Edo is one of our must do resteraunts. Captain Jacks in DTD was vewry good this past year too. The one resteraunt that I would skip is T-Rex. The food was not as good as the Rainforest. The atmosphere is really nice. If we had to choose between the RainForrest and T-Rex, we would eat at the Rain Forrest. Now our all time favorite is Fulton's, the food is terreffic. Lastly no one mention the Hoo Dee Do Review. Good food with a really good dinner show for the family.

Was determined to book the Crystal Palace due to the fact that my dad's fondest memory of WDW was that and he hasn't gone for many years, so I got the only time available--3:30pm on Saturday (was hoping for breakfast, but oh well).

Now to choose the second restaurant...I was thinking of Kona for breakfast, what do you guys think?

Not the most awesomely-themed restaurant, but my omelet sure was tasty. And my wife loved her Tonga toast.
I need a place good for breakfast (don't know how everyone would feel about going to two TS in one day, and not everyone is going to the parks the first day+that's my time to get CS), that also has good themeing.

So, Chef Mickey's, Kona, or other contestants are in the running for our breakfast meal, feel free to add one of your own! Would prefer a restaurant in a resort, simply because I'm the only one who's going to have a park hopper.

If doing Downtown Disney, then Raglan Road is about as good food/good entertainment as it gets -- its also become incredibly popular so you need ADRs for sure....

Just realized I booked The Crystal Palace for December 8th...should have double-checked :(

Calling now to see if I can get it rescheduled...

EDIT: I cancelled it online, is there a fee that I was unaware of?

Just booked Kona Cafe for breakfast the last day, and then we have Crystal Palace for lunch the day before...can't wait!

Are there any cancellation policies? I accidentally booked it for tomorrow, but cancelled it 15 minutes later and re-booked.
