So replace 70's/80's music with more 70's/80's music?
How about, replace an brand last famous about 1989 with an IP that is current and popular that features some awesome tunes from the '70s/'80s.

Anyone have any info on what is going to happen to Mama Melrose's? Wasn't it also included in the building permits that have an expiration date in 2018? Is it going down after Pizza Rizzo opens? Are the still taking ADRs for, like, Feb?

DHS needs a decent kid's play area now that HISTK playground is gone. MK and AK both have areas for kids to run around and play (and if I remember correctly, MK has at least 2). While a carousel isn't exactly a "play for hours" activity, kids love them, especially if they're pretty intricate.
I know it hasn't really been mentioned, but I'd be surprised if TSL didn't have a HISTK-esque play area.
Even a Muppets Carousel could be pretty easy to put in. They don't have that at DHS and its kid friendly
Either that or a classic Fantasyland style C ticket dark ride. Something small that could go in the Mama Melrose plot I think would be a really nice addition to the land.

I'm all for this. DHS isn't really hurting for restaurants, especially when two new additional spaces will be opening up in Star Wars Land. If PizzeRizzo now all spruced up becomes the main food anchor for Muppets Courtyard, the best thing they could do with the Mama Melrose space is to turn it and the adjacent space previously used for meet and greets into a nice Muppets ride. Carve out a little meet and greet space in the Stage 1 company store, along with adding the Whatnot shop, plus have the Muppet Mobile lab roam the area periodically, and you've transformed this little land into something really worthwhile.

The main problem with that is the fact that DHS is woefully short on dining capacity now. Yes, TSL is getting a CS and SWL a TS, but we lost Backlot Catering Co.

When SWL opens, they will need a lot more dining capacity than DHS has now.

I thought Star Wars land was getting a table service and a counter service, or something similar? The cantina and a "supper-club" or somesuch. That would have the counter service in TSL replacing Backlot Catering and an additional space in SWL (should Mama Melrose's be replaced). Apologies if I'm mistaken - I can't remember what the latest update was for SWL.
