Well that's a cool use of the projections, fountains, lasers, and lighting on the island.
Going on the videos, this looks like this vantage point could suit the show better. It seems designed as a series of clips from Pixar movies with fireworks in the background, and you probably see the clips more clearly from ROA.

I have liked a lot of Pixar films, but I must admit that watching this show had the opposite effect on me than Happily Ever After in that it left me feeling quite cold about the Pixar back catalogue. Sticking these clips all together with bland, forgettable music in the background made Pixar films seem more plasticky and hollow than I think they really are. The only clips that really inspired any kind of emotional reaction were the Coco ones, but then that along with Ratatouille (largely ignored here) were my favourite Pixar films... and, admittedly, two of the least successful (at least in America)!

I know people are sick of Frozen, but I am far more tolerant of Frozen mania in the parks than I am of constantly seeing Cars and Toy Story all over the place. Like it or not, Frozen is an ultra successful film that has classic Disney DNA and fits well in the parks in parades and shows alongside all the other films. Let it Go is also one of the most iconic songs (not just Disney songs) of the past few years that similarly works well for fireworks shows and other kinds of extravaganzas. Cars, on the other hand, is a mediocre franchise that keeps getting shoved down our throats because it sells toys. I always get the feeling in shows like this one that they're trying to convince people that they have some kind of emotional connection to those films and characters. Toy Story is a good series of films, however they have just flogged the franchise completely to death for over 20 years now for the same reason. For me, they're kind of ruining Toy Story. I'm not huge on shoving IPs all over the parks, but if they're going to do it could they at least have some variety?

And it looks great. Frozen is hardly noticed as missing. Can’t wait to see the new float. (I watched a crummy live stream so I didn’t get to see it in person tonight)

I don't think the new float was in the parade tonight...at least that's what I read online.

I agree. I feel that, whereas Disneyland Forever was at its weakest on the Rivers (despite the bits of pyro), Together Forever is at its strongest there.

I wish they would never use the song "you've got a friend in me" in anything again. I think it always sounds terrible in parades and fireworks, etc.
The version in the new fireworks is the lamest one i have ever heard. You are doing a show celebrating Pixar and you are using projection mapping why would you not use Weezy singing it from Toy Story 2. That is probably the best one. BTW the fireworks show is meh, no storyline, no feeling at all. Just cut and paste, Some segments look great but its just ok
