Was at the MK tonight for the EMH and at the new location for the Pirate League I notice the signs were up. Didnt notice it a few days ago, could have been there but didnt notice it. Last Monday I caught a glimpse inside and they were still working...saw the famous ladder and all.

I was in the MK yesterday, and from what CMs at the front podium told me, today (June 29) is actually opening day. Yesterday were Cast previews. Looks interesting.

Yes indeed they have been doing previews for around a week with the opening being today. I was able to follow someone inside on Sat. to film their experience (or at least what they let you film with a "picture box") for a video podcast for another site. I have to say its quite amazing inside with great themeing & wonderful CMs who know how to bring the experience alive. I don't want to really spoil it but if you have the chance go do it. I hate to say it but I would be more than happy to spend $50 to get in there again to get my face painted instead of just watching all the fun. If there are any questions I can try to answer them & if the answer would be a spoiler I can PM you the answer if I know it.
Found a few videos already on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPeEt-zXM0c http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRUeD-9tK1Q WARNING They will spoil the experience a tad its better to stay surprised ;)

Leveling the playing field

'Bout time Disney designed a cool experience for boys. My father is taking my son on our October vacation and it should be fabulous. We're all looking forward to it. If anyone knows, will family be able to take any photos during the process or is that an League "no-no"?

Reflecting back to my childhood, there are so many ways boys got nada compared to girls regarding such extras. Girls have always had princesses and the elaborate costumes available with boys being pushed toward toys only, no full experience. Way to go Disney or making boys and girls more equal with experiences they can all enjoy!

Apparently boys can become princes at the Bibbiti Bobbiti Boutique, but I have yet to see one, so I take it that hasn't really been a big seller.

As for Pirates League, I'm tempted to try to go for the full thing for myself before the end of my CP program just to see what it's like. It's probably not worth it for how much is costs, but whatever. It would be fun to walk around Magic Kingdom in a pirate costume...

This strikes me as one area where Disney should relax their standards and allow men to be a little more disheveled looking with facial hair. I understand not wanting it in most places in the park, but when was the last time you saw a clean cut pirate?
