they made appearances in color, too!
This is why we need to get the old school disney cartoons back on the disney channel! i was a child of the 80's and i grew up watching the old silly symphonies, mickey mouse cartoons, donald, goofy, etc... oh how i miss those days! they used to air early in the mornign and late at night... for a while like two years ago - but now, nothing

I grew up with the orginal MMClub and all of the great movies and the serials of Spin and Marty and Davy Crocket and one about a white dog I believe was called White Shadow or Shadow with Darlene, just to mention a few. Then around 20 years ago? the Disney channel was born, and I was thrilled when my child BigNorm was able to enjoy the same kind of thrills that I had even though it was not free then and I had to pay $8.50 extra a month!! I would sit up until mid-night even tho I had to be at work at 8am just to watch Zorro with Annette. Now it is all so totally out of Disney, that I rarely turn it on. Where are the great halloween movies, Mr. Boggety, the Bride of Boggety, Sleepy Hollow just to mention a few. Am I being too hard on the creators, or am I just too old
or do I just want to bring back so wonderful entertainment? Maybe all or the above, just mouthing off.:brick:

You aren't being too hard on anyone. The Disney Channel is dreck these days.

Actually Clarabelle and Horace are caracters before Mickey Mouse. (See links)
They have been around since August taking pictures in the front of the Train Station (where the Mickey Garden is). And they both are in the Parade in the MNSSHP.
NOW, I will love to see Oswald the Rabbit around the park.

I am currently searching for an e-mail address for someone in programming at the d-channel... i would LOVE to get as many people as possible to e-mail them and ask for at least SOME of the old programming
cartoons with mickey, minnie, donald, pluto, goofy (remember all thsoe great HOW TO cartoons with goofy) chip and dale, and THE SILLY SYMPHONIES!
also - why not bring back zorro, spin and marty, etc... i never watched those, but i know a lot of people did! as soon as i get an e-mail addy, i'll let everyone know!

In addition to the meet and greets in front of train station and in the Boo to you Parade at MNSSHP, Clarabelle and Horace have been in the new Main St. Family Fun Day Parade every day.
They're fun to see, and its always nice to see a new/different set of characters out and about!
