In reference to the good ol' days of Disney programming, I should mention that lately they have been showing the Little Mermaid show (prequel to the movie) and the Timon and Pumbaa show on the Disney channel. I'm guessing the former is a result of the DVD coming out. However, I'm a fan of the Little Mermaid show so I don't mind whatever it took to bring it back. It's not much, but oh well.

I do miss some old movies and cartoons, but I also enjoy some of the shows and movies being presented now (i.e. Suite Life, Raven, Hannah Montana). I'm sure when this generation of kids grow up in 10 years and see the new shows then, they will pine for these shows as much as we pine for the older ones.

Doesnt Cartoon Disney show alot of the older stuff. I know last time I checked Stuff like tale spin and darkwing duck were on it and I thought I saw some older stuff to.

Last time I checked, they gave some of those shows at real bad times. But maybe I need to check again. I have DuckTales and Rescue Rangers on DVD. Now I need to get TaleSpin and Darkwing Duck

Actually Clarabelle and Horace are caracters before Mickey Mouse. (See links)

Horace and Clarabelle did not predate Mickey; both arrived in the 1929 Mickey short The Plow Boy. :wave:

If you want to see very rare characters, take a visit to Tokyo Disney. Horace and Clarabell have been hanging out there for over 3 years now. They get all the good ones over there.

We saw both last year during the Family - Red&White&Blue parade (not sure of the official name) If you were wearing those colors, you could possbily be picked to part of the parada. I think they did it every afternoon.

It's called the Family Fun Day Parade, and the guests are chosen around 5 minutes before every parade in the Castle Hub area. Just look for a trolley boy or girl, and they'll be able to tell you how to participate.

Back in August, we were chosen to be the Grand Marshals of the Share a Dream Parade, and Horace was our "Parade Mate" who rode in the car with us. The Parade Manager came out and asked us if we knew who he was, and of course we did. He was quite surprised by that.....lol
Anyway, here he is in the car:

Yeah, believe me you'd be surprised at what Horace gets called on a daily basis. I'll give you a few examples:

Mr. Clarabelle
Clarabelle (Yes, people think he's a girl)

Does anyone know where I could find a Clarabelle plush? My Goddaughter goes crazy when she sees her on the Micky Mouse Club House. She absolutely loves her. I have been looking for her everywhere and most people don't even know who I am talking about.
