I could not even fathom living in that smog riddled state where everything is known to cause cancer. Not being able to experience all four seasons and the amazing visuals that come with them. That sounds like a nightmare of disastrous proportions. The Mid-Atlantic is BY FAR the best area in the country to live AND the birth place of the nation that paved the way for armpit... err states like California to exist.

YEAH! What he said!

California = poop.

Why don't they just have reservations for lunch as well as dinner? Other restaurants in the Magic Kingdom take lunch reservations. As you check in they give you those little boxes that vibrate or light up to let you know when your table is ready. That would be better than having to get in line for hours. Just an opinion.

I think we've established that for most of the day, nobody is waiting in line for hours. It's 30-40 minutes tops most of the time. I've never waited more than that, during the Christmas/New Year's week to boot.

Second, lunch reservations would be horrible, at least IMO. I like a fair, first come first serve line. One of the few exceptions to the complicated months-ahead reservations. It's one of the few places where being a loyal, local AP holder does not put you at a disadvantage. And besides, the demand will go down in a matter of time. It's brand new now.

This is a clever and thoughtful way for front-line staff to graciously serve the line of waiting "guests". Bravo to whomever at Magic Kingdom Park thought of this idea!

That said... The climate in Orlando is miserable and fun-killing for several months out of the year. It's always been that way, it always will be that way. So how does WDI and TDO's planning department not think of this stuff years in advance when they plan and design these new park offerings?

You can tell it's people working in cubicles far removed from the theme parks that approve this stuff. And then it's up to the front-line staff working in the theme parks to clean up the mess that WDI creatives and TDO planners made in their cubicles. The troubling thing is that those cubicle drones make a lot more money than the front-line staff and supervisors who have to think up the solutions to the mess.

Agree.
Sometimes at moments like this you get the impression that they are forgetting this is something that will NOT be built in CA, where the weather is a completely different scene.

In the dead of January when its a high of 70 here and a low in the upper 40s, its absolutely amazing.

Yesterday however, those thunderstorms were pretty bad.

That's what its about. I'd love to be one of the snowbirds who leave PA and head to florida for the winter. And then make my way back to this craphole for the summer, where it's 95 degrees, not 95 plus a billion percent humidity... and bugs the size of small dogs.

1607 Baby! Jamestown FTW!

.... now how was that left out of The American Adventure.....?

Personal interest by the writers? Who knows.

Pocahontas knows the value! Speaking of Pocahontas I live a half mile away from where John Smith was busted trying to steal corn from the Nansemond Tribe.

What does the West Coast have? Beiber's house?

Full disclosure.... I didn't read all 9 pages.. but as I was just there recently I felt I should weigh in.

I've been to BOG twice now for lunch, and both times the cast member said an hour wait... we were inside and waiting for our food within 15-20 minutes. The most recent time (last weekend) they had the umbrellas and they passed them out by way of a cart. Most people seemed to love the idea.. as it kept everyone out of the direct sunlight.
