Does anybody know when it it better for me to buy a Photopass CD, before my trip, at Disney World or after I get back. What is the better deal?

PhotoMove - What it is

We have "Photo Movie DVD" included in our package. What does that mean?

Click HERE and then click on Learn More in the PhotoMovie section on the right at the bottom. After the short demo plays click on View Extended Sample to get a better feel for what they do.

Your photos are stills interwoven with moving footage of Disney characters and places. They also put your photos together in a more traditional slide show paces to Disney music.

Has anyone ever order the photo movie? Our confirmation papers also say something about a photo dvd. I checked it out and looks cool.

We have ordered the photomovie two years in a row now and really love it! The kids watch it over and over again. It is basically just your still pictures either your own or photopass. But it combines them with disney characters and ride video and neat special effects.

We also love the music on there. It really gets you in the mood for a trip! They also have a slide show option that you can view that just shows your photos set to music.

The following was in allearsnet newsletter. Does anyone know why she couldn't combine them all?

Melanie Deware shares: Twenty-four members of our family just returned from a wonderful 10-day trip to the World. We accumulated 15 (no exaggeration!) PhotoPass cards along the way. Because we are all related, we just whipped out any old card whenever one was needed, not keeping track of whose card was whose. The problem arose when we returned home and the three of us who ended up with cards in our possession decided to upload the photos. To our dismay, we could share photos with each other but not combine our PhotoPasses onto one CD. This meant purchasing three CDs at $125 each in order to have all my own kids' pictures. The lesson: keep your own family's photos on your own card(s) so you can get them all on one CD when you return home.

I don't know why she couldn't combine them all. We have combined cards before.

You can combine the cards at any photo center on property, and you can also combine them online when you get home.

The problem is that three different people signed up online and entered different cards. At that point, it's too late to combine them.

One person should have taken all the cards and entered all of the numbers from the cards on one account, then shared them online with the other members. Then they'd only need to buy one CD.

That must be exactly what happened! Thank you MattBoom!

I just pre-ordered the CD for my trip. I received an email with the pre-order number but I also received an email that the CD was shipped???? Did I do something wrong? Is a blank CD being sent to me? I can't find a number to call to inquire.

I think the e-mail is to let you know that the pre-order number has "shipped" (meaning that it has been e-mailed). I had the same thing and, of course, the 'number' e-mail showed up before the shipping e-mail did, so it IS kind of confusing. If you log back in, the site will tell you that you currently have no pictures, etc.

What I was more confused about was the shipping--apparently shipping is free for the pre-order CD OR is it just that the 'shipping' (read: e-mail) for the pre-order code is free? I am going the hope that the shipping for the CD is free, but am prepared to pay when the time comes, if needed.

Hope that helps or is even remotely close to correct!:D

The only ride photo that you can put on PhotoPass is the one at Test Track. When you get off the ride, let someone there know you want to add your ride picture to your PhotoPass.
I didn't know you can do this with Test Track, thanks for posting, we will be sure to have these added to our card.

From the pre-order page: "Step 4. After your vacation, order your PhotoCD by using the special promotion code. The full cost of Disney's PhotoCD including standard domestic shipping will be deducted from your order."

So your CD should ship free of charge after entry your pre-order code.
